Happy Thanksgiving/Black Friday.
---------------------------------------
I'd made it to the movie theater and saw them all huddled in a spot. The spot looked above the double screening and they were looking at it excitedly. They didn't notice me. There was no line at the ticket booth, so I bought one for the closest screening time and went behind them. No way in hell am I losing them.
As I came up behind them, I heard something interesting.
"Guys, I'm stuck. I don't know what's going to happen between Maddee and I," Alex said.
"I've only met her twice, don't ask me," Allen said. Taylor, Jay, Andy, and Micheal nodded in agreement with Allen.
"Uh, I'm not sure Alex. Do you mean you want to break up with her?" Jeff asks.
"I..I don't know. I feel like she's better off without me."
I raised my eyebrows. Somehow by doing that, they noticed me.
Alex looked a little scared to have caught me listening.
"How much-"
"Just enough. I heard just enough Alex. It's none of my business," I cut him off. I couldn't help but be a little pissed. Hey, he's gonna break up with Maddee. I knew it was coming but I'm just scared for Maddee.
"I'm sorry," he said.
"Don't be. None of my business."
"Why are you here? Not to be rude," Micheal asked.
"I heard you were watching a double screening of World War Z and The Purge. I'm not missing out," I said and held up my ticket.
"Fine, but if you pee your pants don't blame us," Drake said.
"When were you here?" I asked. I honestly didn't see him.
"I was...I was always..here?" he said but it ended in a question.
He was wearing black skinny jeans, a shirt that said Asking Alexandria, black vans, and a grey beanie.
Waaahhhhh Jesus Christ that is pretty.
I did not just think that.
Well hell.
"I didn't see you, anyhoo let's go get snacks and go to the screening room," I said and led them inside.
--------------------------
"That was awesome!" I said.
"You're right! God I love that part with the smiling guy in The Purge," Drake chatted animatedly with me. The rest of the guys were trailing back talking about World War Z and the zombie wave.
"I wonder if the girls will be mad at me for leaving," I wondered aloud.
"Huh?" he asked.
"Oh, when I heard you guys were gonna watch these movies I ran out really fast," I laughed.
"Doesn't surprise me, I'm glad you came though," he smiled.
"I know you are. I mean thank you, I'm glad I came."
Stupid kid needs to stop making me feel anxious. At least I've got my sassiness.
He shook his head and smirked at my answer.
"You look nice today, by the way," he said.
That's it.
I'm done with this feeling.
But I only said "Thank you."
