Chapter Two:

I ran downstairs, stumbling down the stairs and tripping over my own feet. I. Smell. Food!!!

I fell asleep after I finished talking to that guy on my laptop, Drake. I love breaks, sleep as late as you effing want...wake up when you feel like it. Teenage heaven basically. And since this was winter break, it made it even better. Christmas.

"Good morning honey," my mom chirped.

"Hey. I smell food," I said getting to the point. My mom rolled her eyes.

"No kiss for your mother? Shows how much I raised you," she winked and I shrugged.

I leaned over her and sniffed the contents of the food. I love food. Very much so.

Mmm...bacon.

"Honey..." my mom swatted me with a random kitchen object, "stoppp looking like a lost puppy, sit and I shall feed you when it's done" she commanded and pointed a spoon at the bar chair.

I obediently followed the spoons directions and sat in a chair. My mon have me a thumbs up and turned to her cooking.

"..." I looked at her.

She didn't notice.

"..." I tried again.

Nothing.

"..."

"...Alexandria...food's almost done, calm down," she soothed.

"But-" I started.

"No buts," she wagged the spoon around.

"..."

"It's done...help yourself," my mom said and rushed up the stairs to my dad's study.

"Josh! Time for breakfast," I heard her yell.

I stood up and sprinted. Flat out sprinted. To the food.

I took a serving of pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and a glass of chocolate milk. Heaven on Earth.

I got some silverware and a napkin. I walked towards my room and shut the door.

Setting my food on the bed, I got my laptop and turned it on. I plugged the charger in and waited for it to ask me for my password.

I munched on bacon and typed in my password. My mother knows how to make bacon. Very much so.

"Don't you worry, don't you worry child! See heavens got a plan for you-" my phone rang and i checked the ID. I tapped answer and it automatically went on speaker.

"Hwi Anfweliqfue," I mumbled with my mouth full.

"Girl. Chew your food up before you talk to me," she said.

I mumbled.

"What?" I ask.

"Girl..wait I forgot what I was gonna say...bye!" and the line ended with a click. Well.

I walked to my calendar and checked the date. Usually I always lose track of time on breaks. December 21. Ha. The world's supposed to end today. I looked around and put my window. Everything looked normal. I snorted. Effing scientists. I wonder how many saps bought supplies to live. I mean come on. If the world really did end, you wouldn't be able to survive it.
