Chapter 13

August's P.O.V

I read the paper and it said "You are the father". Awwww shit

I wasn't expecting to be a father so young. Now I have to stop mostly everything except music. I knew my mom was gonna be disappointed in me. When my brother told her he got a girl pregnant she flipped out, but finally accepted it. My brother loved his daughter she was his #1 priority. I was going to love my child just like he did.

Zayna looked at me and said"I'm sorry you probably hate me now". She got up and started to walk out of the door. I quickly grabbed her arm. "Stop, I'm going to be here for my child I don't hate you at all. I will do anything to keep my seed safe. I don't want you living on the street so if your mom decides to kick you out I'll find a way". She smiled"Thanks August I really appreciate and don't worry I'm not trying to trap you. I see your happy with Chantal and I'm not trying to mess that up".

I could tell she still love me but wanted me to be happy. Chantal made me happy in many ways but I admit I still had feelings for Zayna. I know that sounds crazy but she was my first girlfriend in high school. She played me after two years of our relationship. She cheated on me with some raggedy nigga. Now I was seeing that this baby was changing her she wasn't a bitch like she normally would be.

I needed to tell my mother that she was pregnant so we decided to head to my house. When I walked in I saw my niece Angel playing with her dollhouse. I swear she was a split image of my brother it scared me sometimes. "Hey my angel cakes"I said. She looked up and hugged my legs. "I missed you Unk August"she said in a baby voice.

My mom entered the room. "What is Zayna doing here"she asked.

I looked at her and said"Mom can we talk about this in the dining room". She gave me a weird look and we walked to the dining room. "Well Ms. Walker I'm pregnant with your son's child. My mother is thinking about kicking me out"said Zayna. "August you both are very young I'm so disappointed right now. This is straight bull sh*t. Babies cost lots of money. You have to buy formula,diapers,wipes. And everything. I'm not trying to be mean but we barely making it"my mom said.

"I'm so sorry mom. I know I messed up but I will get a job or whatever to support her. And ima be a man about mines"I said.

"If your mom puts you out Zayna you can stay here with us. I don't want you on the streets. August you betta not miss any appointments unless you dying. I love you son and Zayna you have to make sure your healthy too"my mom said.

We nodded and said okay. After the talk we had with my mom we went to Zayna's house to see if her mom was gonna put her out.




Chantal's P.O.V

My father texted me that he needed to talk to me. So I decided to call him. "Hello"I said. "Hey sweetie I needed to talk to you because I wanted you to come live with me"he said. I shook my head and said"No I love where I live I would rather stay here".

My father was so sneaky he only wanted me to live with him so he could show my mom that he was a good parent. He been wanting her back but she never gave in to his lies.

If I was to live with my dad everything would change. No August , I couldn't deal with that.

My dad asked me about the secret I kept from everyone in this city.

In the other city I lived in I did very bad things. So when we moved I wasn't gonna tell anything that I did.

I know it was wrong for me to do but I didn't want anyone judging on what happened in my past.

Especially August he probably would look at me different. I didn't want him knowing about my past so I wasn't gonna tell him.




It's about to be THANKSGIVING !! Yay. Thanks for reading. I know y'all probably mad lol. But I felt bad for ole girl.
