Zayna's P.O.V.

We rushed to the hospital every second counted right now. My mind was in another state I was beyond shocked. It felt as if I was going to pass out any second.

I looked at August I could see that he was gonna be okay. When we arrived at the hospital they took him into to surgery. The doctor told us that there was a slight possibility that he might not make it.

I got on my knees and prayed to god. "Lord I know I have made some mistakes in my life. I hope that you forgive me for the sins I have done. Please whatever you do just listen to this prayer. Let August live and heal his body. Lord I know you are capable of healing. I ask this in your name, Amen".

I got a call from Trey and he said"Aye Zayna, me and the homies handled Diamond and them niggas. We coming up there in a minute. Tell my niqqa to stay strong man". I replied"Dang alright I will and I'm about to call everybody else".

I called everyone he knew even Chantal. We all waited in the waiting room. It was cold and staring at the white walls made the wait even longer. I began to fall asleep until I heard footsteps coming closer. It was a doctor who seemed to be in shocked state.

"Are you all waiting for August Alsina"he said. Everyone got up and said yeah. "August had two gunshot wounds we did the surgery. We was very very skeptical about his livelihood. He actually did make it overall. He's sleeping right now so visitors can come tomorrow.

I nodded and decided to go home. I really wanted to see him but I had to let him get some rest. The next day I got up and called his homies and Chantal. We all packed up in a Range Rover truck.

"We don't got any beef right"? Asked Chantal. "Nah I'm not on that shit right now. I'm trying to make sure August is cool"I said. "Yeah me too"she said.



August's P.O.V.

It seemed as if I had a bad dream. One minute I was living life then the next it flashed before my eyes. Death doesn't wait on nobody. I opened my eyes to see a gorgeous figure sitting on my bed.


"Bae..."I said dryly. She turned her head and hugged him softly. "Omg You scared the hell outta me. I was crying so hard it felt so unreal. I don't know what I would have did without you"Zayna said.

"Girl I ain't going nowhere"I said bending down to kiss her stomach.
She kissed me and said"I'll be right back I'll send in Chantal". Woah Chantal came all the way from Cali.

She walked in wearing pjs. I could tell she haven't got any sleep her eyes was red. "August.."she said softly. "I'm here Chantal come here I know you been crying. I don't want you crying girl" I said.

She walked over to me and laid her head on my shoulder. "I missed you so much. We will always be best friends. No matter what. I love you man"she said.

I stroked her hair and said"Of course you know that. Chantal if you meet a nigga he betta treat you right. You deserve it. At first when you told me about my brother I wanted to fuck you up. But now that I look at it everything happens for a reason"I said. She nodded and told me that she had to go back to Cali. I hugged her tightly but not to tight because I was still in pain from the surgery.

2 days later they let me out of the hospital and let me go home. When I went home Zayna said she had a surprise for me. "Bae come look at this picture"she said. I walked to her and looked at it. "Woah who house is that"I asked.

"It's our house. My mom managed to get it for us. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It's enough for us for now.
It also has a huge backyard so we can have cookouts and stuff. I'm so excited to move babe"she said. I kissed her lips and was so excited to finally begin a new chapter in my life.

I didn't have to worry about Diamond because Trey and the homies handled her. Me and Chantal was on good terms. The baby was almost due and was healthy. Seems like everything was in place.
