Chantal's P.O.V

I woke up with hella notifications and messages on my Facebook. People was saying "Chantal I heard about your secret". I instantly knew that Salise snitched.

How could my Bestfriend of years betrayed me like that? We been through lots of stuff. I was there when her ex boyfriend used to beat her ass everyday. I never told anyone about that.

Yet, she had to open her mouth and tell everyone.

I knew I had to find a way to tell August because I knew he would be beyond devastated.

My mom didn't have work today was I took her car over to August's house. I got over to his house to find that his car was parked outside. "Good he's here"I thought to myself.

As I got on the car I started to get super nervous. He's not gonna like this at all. I just hope one day he finds it in his heart to forgive.

I walked up to the door and knocked about two times. I stood at the door patiently waiting. He finally came and opened the door.

I walked in and said"August we have to talk ASAP". He said"Yeah because I been hearing things so just tell me nothing but the truth".

He lead me to the living room and we took a seat.

"The secret is that I was in a gang with Jermaine. One day they ordered us
to do a job. The job was to go and kill someone who owed the boss money. We went to go kill the guy. I didn't know who he was but now I know who we killed. We killed your brother. I'm very sorry I hope one day you can forgive me. I love you August"I said.

He had red in his eyes and was crying heavily. "Chantal just get out"he said.
"August I'm sorry"I said.


August's P.O.V

Man this was straight up bullshit. I couldn't believe what I just heard. Her out of all people killed my brother. I couldn't take it anymore so I just told her to leave.

It felt like everytime something was going right. BOOM something gotta make it go wrong. Chantal actually did change me. She made me realize not to trust everyone but to let people in. I thank God for Chantal but now it's time to move on.

I still had my child to think about. I know in my heart I would forgive Chantal just not right now.

"August"! said Zayna.

Damn please Lord don't let her ask for another peanut butter pickle sandwich.

"What Zay"I said. "The appointment today at 3 and it's already 2:30 so let's go"she said. She grabbed her purse and put on her house shoes.

I looked at her as if she was out of her damn mind. "Put on some other shoes yo. I'm not about to let you go outside like that"I said.

She laughed"Fine I'll put on my boots but my feet can't fit in anything else".

After that we left and drove to the clinic.

We pulled up to the clinic and I got out to open her door. She signed in while I sat down. The doctor came out and said "Ms. Zayna Davis". The doctor took us to this off white room with an ultrasound machine inside of it. "I'm always nervous when we come here"I said.

"Yeah me too I guess it's just because we're just becoming parents"she replied. Zayna laid down and waited until the doctor came. I swear that doctor took about 15 minutes just to come back.

"Doc you saved me a piece of chicken because I swear you took about an hour"I said. Zayna laughed and said"August hush". The doctor smiled as she began telling us things. "Zayna you have reached the 5 month mark as I told you before you can find out the gender of the baby today"the doctor said.

I began getting excited. To be honest I wanted a baby girl but it really didn't matter to me. The doctor put the ultrasound on her belly. She pointed to the baby private area.

"ITS A BABY GIRL"the doctor exclaimed to us.

I smiled and hugged Zayna. Man I was beyond happy. Everything bad that happened today just went out of my head. I'm living for my baby girl from now on.
