Riley's POV
"Riley thank god you called me back," Sam says on the other end of the line. I was still kinda shaky from falling on the turntable but I was trying to get that out of my head and focus on the task at hand.

"What's going on," I ask, not sure what I should expect to come out of Sam's mouth.

"I'm seeing Hamilton tonight!" He yells, any worry that was in me left and turned into happiness. I still hadn't told my friends about me living with Lin but I figured now was a better time than any but first I had to find out how he got tickets.

"How did you get tickets?" I ask, quite astonished that he managed that.

"My mom bought them while Hamilton was still playing at the Public and didn't tell me until now. It's like an early birthday gift since we're gonna be out of town on my actual birthday," Sam says, wow if Lin wasn't my foster dad I would be so incredibly jealous but still I'm so happy for Sam.

"That's amazing!" I say, "Sam I need to tell-" he cuts me off not realizing that I was speaking.

"And Conner, Isaac, Jed and Penny are gonna come enter the lottery tonight to see if they can get in," he says excitedly, "You wanna come and enter?" I almost start laughing if only he knew that I was standing on the Hamilton stage just two minutes ago he would die.

"Um, sure what time are you guys getting there?" I say feeling an idea hatch in my brain.

"Like 6 since they pull the lottery at 7 and we want to see Ham4Ham," he says.

"Okay I'll see you guys then," I say hanging up the phone. It had been on speaker and I could tell Alex was trying not to laugh the entire time.

"Are you really entering in the raffle?" He laughs.

"No, but I have a really good idea of how I'm gonna tell them that Lin is fostering me," I say, he gives me a confused look and I laugh. "Come on." I pull him out of Lin's dressing room, if this was gonna work I needed Lin on board.

****

"Riley!" I hear, I look through the crowd of people that had formed by the stage door. I finally see Penny's poofy hair and make my way toward my friends who are all freaking out.

"Did you already enter?" Conner asks excitedly.

"Yep," I lie, "Come on let's try and get near the front of the barricade." I say walking through the crowd pushing my way through everyone until I get to the front only to see Tommy Kail setting up the sound system for Ham4Ham. He looks at me and gives me the signal that they're about to start which means I need to get to my spot. Just as Tommy looks away from me and back to the amp he was hooking up, my friends reached me.

"Um guys I'm gonna go grab a coffee," I say, trying to make up an excuse as to why I'm about to leave them. Alex and I had sat backstage through the matinee show and planned this whole thing out and I was not going to let that go to waste.

"Are you kidding Riley? They're about to start," Penny says pointing to Tommy and the tech guys setting stuff up.

"I know, but I also need to go to the bathroom," I say, they all give me annoyed looks and I don't blame them. If I was in their position I would do the same thing. "Don't worry I'll be back before you know it, just video it and then if I miss anything I'll just watch it later," I say and then make my way out of the crowd before they can protest anymore. I head around the side of the Richard Rogers and see Alex waiting for me by a door on the side of the building that they usually use for moving in props.
