32-What Have I Done?

I woke up to the sound of an alarm clock. At first I cursed myself for putting on an alarm since it was Sunday but then I remembered, it was Lin's birthday. I quickly got up and headed out of my room to make sure he and Vanessa weren't up, luckily they weren't and I snuck into the kitchen. I took out pancake mix, bacon and eggs, I wanted to bring Lin breakfast in bed along with his presents and cards that Sebastian and I had got him. I started making coffee while the bacon cooked and then mixed the pancake mix. I prayed I would work fast and quiet enough to where I could surprise Lin in bed and not have him find me in the kitchen.

Whatever praying I did must've worked because I got everything done and Lin was still in his room with Vanessa. I put everything on a tray and then went and woke up Sebastian.

"Hey Seb," I said stroking his hair, he opened his eyes and smiled at me, "Guess what?"

"Wha?" He asked giggling.

"It's daddy's birthday," I said smiling at him. His eyes went wide and he clapped his hands, I picked him up out of his crib and went into Lin and Vanessa's bed room with him. They were still fast asleep and I smiled as I set Seb in the bed in between them.

"Wake up mommy and daddy I'll be right back," I whispered to Seb, he smiled and then went over to Lin.

"Da da da!" He said hitting Lin's arm, I quickly made my way out of the room to grab the tray with food, drinks and presents on it.

"Seb? What are you doing in here?" I heard Lin ask sleepily, I walk into the room to see Lin rubbing his eyes and holding Seb.

"Happy Birthday!" I say once Lin looks up at me, Vanessa was up and now holding Sebastian. She smiled at me as she saw me with the tray.

"Oh mija," Lin says as I walk over to him placing the tray down and setting his coffee on the night stand.

"Oh Riley this is so sweet honey," Vanessa says looking at the cards from Seb and I on the tray along with all the food. Lin moves the tray over onto a table beside his bed and pulls me into his lap hugging me.

"Thank you mija I love this," he says kissing the top of my head.

"You're welcome, it's not everyday it's your birthday," I laugh.

"That's true," Lin chuckles.

"Daddy card!" Sebastian says handing Lin the card I helped him make, it was quite adorable if I do say so myself. Lin took it smiling and looked inside at the drawing Seb made of the two of them.

"Aw thanks homeboy I love it," Lin says grabbing Sebastian and kissing him before setting him in my lap since Lin still had me in his.

"Here honey," Vanessa says handing Lin a card. Lin opens it and reads it the smile never leaving his face.

"This just further proves that I have the best wife and that she's way out of my league," Lin says leaving over and kissing Vanessa on the cheek.

"Here dad," I say handing him my card, I was scared giving it to him. There was a lot of personal stuff in it and I was scared how he'd react. I watched as he read it, the smile would drop from his face every once in a while and I could tell he was at a certain part. By the time he was done I think he had tears in his eyes. It was hard to tell Lin almost never cried, unless we were watching Les Mis or Rent, then he bawled.
