26- Theater Family

"Hey bear, hey wake up," I heard Alex whisper in my ear. I groaned wanting to stay in my warm bed and go back to sleep in Alex's arms, today was the first day back at school from Thanksgiving break and I was not excited. I felt Alex chuckled, since I was laying on his chest, "Alright I didn't want to have to do this but you leave me no choice," he said and before I could ask what he meant the blankets were thrown off me and started tickling me.

"Stop oh my god Alex I swear!" I said while laughing as he tickled my sides, this torture continued for a few more seconds before I heard my door open and felt myself being picked up, I looked up and saw Lin holding me.

"I have saved thee from thy Alex and know I must flee!" Lin said running out of my room with me in his arms. We ran past Sebastian in the living room who was laughing his head off at us and into the kitchen where Vanessa was making breakfast.

"What on earth?" She laughed turning around from the stove to face Lin and I.

"You are safe princess," Lin said setting me down in a chair, "but I must be repaid for my acts of bravery.

"What does thou wish for in return for his bravery?" I asked playing along with Lin who was crouched in front of my chair, being eye level with me.

"A thank you hug would be much appreciated, princess," he said trying to sound high class. I laughed at him and hugged him, "Good morning bug," he said as I hugged him, don't ask where 'bug' came from because I'm not sure all I know is one day Lin called me it and ever since he's used it as nickname.

"Good morning," I said smiling and then pulling out of his arms and facing the food Vanessa had sat down in front of me. Lin got up went into the living room to grab Sebastian as Alex walked in, already fully dressed, sitting down in the chair next to me.

"I see you're awake," Alex said smiling at me, I smiled at him and then took a bite of my pancake happily sighing at its goodness. I looked up and realized it was 7:31 and we had to leave at 7:45 to get to school on time, so I shoveled the rest of my food into my mouth and then got up and went into my room and changed quickly, putting everything I needed in my backpack as I pulled on articles of clothes. After I was fully dressed and looked decent I headed out of my room to find Lin playing with Sebastian on the floor in the living room and Alex scrolling through his phone on the couch.

"Alright I'm off I'll see you later honey," Vanessa said giving Lin a kiss, "Have a good day sweetie I'll see you later. Bye Alex!" She said hugging me, kissing my forehead and then waving at Alex as she headed out the door.

"Alright you guys ready to go?" Lin asked picking up Sebastian.

"Yep," Alex and I said grabbing our stuff and heading out the door. We all went down and got into Lin's car, Alex and Sebastian in the back and Lin and I in the front. Lin turned on Rent and we all sang and danced on the way to school, I laughed at Alex as he sang to Sebastian making silly faces at him.

"Alright here we are," Lin said pulling up in front of our school, "Have a good day you two I'll see you at 3:10!" Lin said as Alex and I got out of the car.

"Bye Lin thanks for the ride," Alex said smiling at Lin.

"Bye dad I'll see you later love you," I said to him before I shut the car door.

"Love you too bug!" He called after me as Alex and I walked into school, I grabbed my new schedule out of my bag and looked at my first period, Gym. I parted ways with Alex since he had Biology first and headed to class. It was a new trimester so that meant new classes, it also meant my last trimester of Gym since you only have to take it for two trimesters in Freshman year and two trimesters in Sophomore year. I walked into the gym and immediately saw Sam and Penny, I made my way over to them glad I had some friends in this class.
