Chapter 5

Hey guys sorry I didn't update yesterday! I was hanging out with my sisters!! Anyways here is the new chapter of Opposites Attract 

Jessica POV:

When Kylee and I made it to our apartment I felt like I could breathe easier. That lasted until Kylee asked "Hey, isn't that Arran and Duncan's car?" I looked and all I saw was a sky blue beetle, not a red or blue mustang. So I said "No, I think you're mistaken Kylee." She kept staring at the beetle intently then seemed to shake it off and keep walking. We made our way up to our top floor penthouse and opened the door to the smell of soup. Wait, what? That can't be right. I looked at Kylee and sure enough she had grabbed the dagger out of her boot and was holding it like an expert. I too pulled out my gun and held it. We cautiously made our way into the apartment and saw none other than Duncan and Arran waiting for us. We made our way further into the apartment and Duncan looked at me and said, "Wow Jess, for a sick girl you sure look pretty healthy." I was just about to argue when Kylee asked if we could speak privately. I answered with an affirmative and followed her into the hallway. For a girl who's almost always calm she looked pretty dang nervous. She looked around before connecting eyes with me. "So I should probably tell you now that when I woke up this morning I had a fever of 102.5℉ (39.7℃)." She said quietly. "And why did you not tell me this before?" "Because I thought it would get better because I heal fast." "Kylee, how many times do I have to tell you that your healing powers only heal wounds not sicknesses?" "Well I thought that if I could heal the flu that someone else had I could heal myself" She protested. I just looked at her.

Duncan POV:

When the girls came back in I looked over at Arran who was looking at Kylee worriedly.I looked at Jessica, who was looking very pale and slightly pissed off. When they reached the middle of the living room Kylee collapsed on the floor. She almost hit the floor when Arran swooped in and used his body to soften the landing. Kylee was extremely pale (paler than she usually was) and had a flush on her neck crawling up to her face. Arran gently laid Kylee down and I went over to Jessica who was shaking and wrapped my arms around her. Arran felt Kylee's forehead with the back of his hand and swore. "How long has she been sick?" "Since this morning." "And pray tell Jessica. WHY YOU LET HER OUT OF THE HOUSE??!!" By this point Jessica had tears streaming down her face. "She woke up before me and didn't tell me until when we were in the hallway that she was sick." I hugged her tighter. Arran sighed and apologized."This is gonna last for a few hours so we might as well keep making lunch... Can you two go to the kitchen? I-I wanna stay here with Kylee." Me and Jess nod and head to the kitchen.
