I was almost to the store, walking down the main road. I was walking near the railing. After all these years, no one has ever had the idea of a sidewalk here. I sighed. I was listening to Pandora on my phone when I started hearing a loud noise. I pulled out an ear bud to see if I would hear it again. I looked behind me and saw a black Porsche speeding towards my direction. I panicked, not thinking I’d make it in time. I snapped out of it and quickly jumped right at the railing, my stomach landing right on top of it, my ankle twisted in one direction, and my phone fell to the ground. The Porsche drove right past me, not even stopping to see if I was fine. What a jerk! I glared after the car as I stood up slowly. My stomach was aching from the sudden impact and my ankle felt like it was already swelling. I set my foot back down slowly.

“Ow!” I yelled out to no one. I couldn’t walk on it either… I quickly bent down and picked up my phone, inspecting it for damage before sliding it into my back pocket. Well I guess I can always hop there. If I see that driver again I'm going to put my foot where the sun don't shine. That's a promise. I lifted my bad foot and started hopping, occasionally holding onto the railing for support. A smile crept to my face when I realized that right now I most look like Lar from the movie Caveman. I watched that movie with Steph one day.  I wonder what she is up to right now.. I sighed and just started walking, well hopping, to the store.

Mike’s P.O.V.

“What the hell!” I yelled at my dad driving. My mom looked back at me and glared immediately.

“Watch what you say Michal Laurence!” She turned back to face the road. I looked at her in disbelief. They almost ran over a person out there! Are they seriously not bothered one bit by that?!

“She shouldn’t have been on the road in the first place.” My dad said nonchalantly.

“Well. If you hadn’t noticed there isn’t a sidewalk. Or maybe I should point out that you are speeding?” I calmly answered back, even though I wanted to pound it through my step father’s head. “We aren’t even late for anything.”

“Well that’s what we wanted to talk to you about. Your mother and I are going on a separate trip now. We decided to have a vacation to ourselves. We only drove down here to drop you off at the family estate and leave on my private jet later.” He shoulders went up and down, a shrug. I was looking at him in disbelief now. What the hell was I dragged out here for then? I could have stayed at my apartment! I decided to keep my mouth shut and just look out my window.

I sure hope the girl was alright. I just can’t wait to get out of this car, away from my mom, and away from her fourth husband.

Jazz’s P.O.V.

“Ohmygoodness! MylittleJazzy!” Marsha screams out all too very fast, right in my ear. She yanked me into one of her famous bear hugs. “I’ve missed you so!” She squealed with joy and started jumping up and down with me in her arms. My stomach began to hurt like hell.

“Okay Marsha! You can let go now! I’m not in good shape.”  I said between breaths. She let me down looking at me curiously with her hazel eyes. Her brown hair now passed her shoulders slightly, she was a little chubby, but I could tell she was losing weight from the last time I saw her. I smiled big at her. She was the freest spirited person I have ever met, by far. “I’ve missed you, too.” I just smiled and gave her a slight hug.
