Brian had gathered all of the necessary items that he thought would be fit for a picnic. Of course he seemed to think that a picnic in the snow would be the best way to go about spending the day together, not that I was complaining. After he had put everything in a small cooler, we set off.

The crunch of the snow double as we walked to my truck, the roads had been cleared very early this morning and were suitable for driving. I unlocked the doors and set the cooler in the middle before getting into the driver's side while he was getting into the passenger's side. After we both got in and buckled up I adjusted the mirror and then smiled over at him.

"You ready?" He asked, a look of excitement plastered to his features.

"Ready whenever you are." I replied back, even though I wasn't a fan of the cold, his excitement was rubbing off on me.

I peeled out of the driveway and drove along a few back roads that were unfamiliar to me, seeing as I had never been in this area before, and Brian playing the navigator role. He was even trying to do the robot voice that the navigators do on the phone.

"Turn right up ahead, then make a sharp left onto the gravel road." He spoke, mimicking the robot navigators.

I laughed quietly, following his directions flawlessly until my truck hit a patch of black ice and I nearly lost control of it. Panic rose up within me until I got it back under control and let out a sigh of relief, looking over at Brian.

"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly.

"I'm perfectly fine, are you okay?" He asked just as worried as I was.

"Yeah, I'm fine. More so worried about you than I am me at the moment." I said, relaxing a bit as I started to drive again.

"I was more so worried about you." He said calmly, a faint pink color tinting his cheeks.

"I figured as much, you've always seemed to be more concerned about other people rather than yourself." I replied back, being pulled back into a distant memory.

"Yeah..." He said, but it seemed as if it was muffled as I drove along, thinking about the countless times he had tried to comfort me even if he wasn't the best at it.

I sat slumped against the lockers, another fight had occurred between Greg and I because he couldn't accept the fact that I was friends with other people. I sniffled quietly and hid my face against my sweatshirt, having planned on walking home after school since it had been a nice spring day. A shadow obscured my view and I looked up at the tall figure in front of me to see Brian wearing a worried expression.

"What happened?" He asked as he sat beside me, wrapping an arm around my shoulder and tugging me up against him. His concern only seemed to grow more when I didn't respond right away.

"Greg again... He keeps finding faults with every single one of my friends and keeps telling me to not be friends with them and then making a big deal about it when I go and hang out with them. It's like he can't accept the fact that I'm friends with other people. I told him that it seems that way and he flipped out on me and started yelling at me. Saying that I'm not being a very good friend with the way that I'm acting towards him and how he feels about MY friends. Not only that, he accused me of being mad at him when he had blatantly ignored me after I had been talking to Cam. Then he starts talking to somebody else and then just texts me saying 'What's your problem? Ignoring me like that.' and then after I explained that I wasn't mad, he still continued to accuse me of it." I answered simply, more frustrated than before.
