A/N: The cat in the picture is supposed to be Link

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next morning I woke up with a sigh and crawled out of my warm bed, the morning already seemed to be dragging on. Link was curled up at the foot of my bed, fast asleep still. I started to get ready for the day, doing the normal routine that I do every morning. Though this time, I paused briefly to admire the artwork I had on my thigh, it was a dreamcatcher. I had gotten it for my grandmother and three other family members I was really close to who passed away from cancer. Absentmindedly I ran my fingers over the design, tracing it lightly as I used to do when it was fresh and newly done. Now the color was faded a bit, as all things fade with age. I sighed softly, remembering when I had gotten it done the first time.

The quiet hum of the needle echoed throughout the tiny room. The vibrations of it causing me to drift in and out of sleep, only once or twice it stung but otherwise it put me to sleep. The tattoo artist, Shaun, was entirely focused on what he was doing. He paused a few times before continuing and I had to sit up for a bit, my right leg entirely numb from lying on it for so long. A quiet sigh escaped me as I continued to flip through my phone, reading one of the many stories that I possessed.

After what seemed like hours, he stopped and began to put his stuff away. "You can go take a look at it. It's finished." He said as he began to clean up his work station. I hopped off of the chair. My right leg making it difficult to walk, so I had to sit down for a few minutes. Once I could properly walk again, I went to the mirror and turned to the side. From my knee up to my thigh on my left leg was a beautiful dreamcatcher with a spider web design on the inside of it. A small tugged at the corners of my lips. It wasn't completely finished yet but it looked beautiful already.

"Does it look good?" Shaun, the tattoo artist, asked as he walked up to me.

"It looks great!" I smiled, thrilled with how it turned out. He nodded and then motioned me to follow him up to the front counter. He sat in the chair and typed away at the keyboard before handing the tablet over for me to pay on. To which I paid and left a tip for him as well.

"Alright, let's schedule the next appointment to finish that up and get it colored in." He said, scrolling through the calendar he had on the computer. Once he found a suitable opening that fit both of our agenda's, he scribbled it down on a card and handed it to me.

"I look forward to getting that finished." He said as he passed over the card.

"I'm looking forward to it as well. You have a great night Shaun." I said as I tucked the card away in my purse.

"You too!" He called out as I left the shop. My leg wrapped with plastic wrap. I got into my car and then drove back home to where my cat Link was waiting for me.

I smiled faintly at the memory and then finished getting ready for the day. My phone buzzed on the nightstand, I reached over and grabbed it, seeing that it was just a text from Brian saying that he made it to the airport and was on his way to... Wherever he was going, I couldn't remember at the moment. But another one was from Chris saying that I should call him as soon as I got the text. Curiosity took ahold of me and I called him as I was slipping into my shoes to head to the shelter. The phone ringed twice and on the third ring he picked up.

"Hello?" Chris asked, his voice sounding tired.

"Hey Chris, it's Bonnie. What's up? You sent me a text telling me to call you." I said, getting straight to the point.

"What? I don't get a 'how are you doing?'..." He chuckled quietly. "Well anyway, I saw this morning that a clinic near my office that's looking for a vet tech and I figured I'd let you know." He said simply.
