I woke up at the light screaming in my face. I had let out a big yawn while stretching my tried limbs. There was an light knock on my door. I said come in while doing another sleepy yawn.

The door slowly opened revealing both my parents. They stared at me with sad and depressed faces, for my mom she looked as if she had cried all night with puffy red eyes. Then memories of last night had sink into my mind. I started to cry, but before a tear left my face they ran up to me hugging me.

We sat like that for a while I had wished it last forever. So that I would never leave them. But my mom pushed gently away putting a thumb on my face sliding my tear of my face. I never thought I'll miss them so much.

My mom looked at me and said "sweetheart I love you so much you know that right." I responded with a

Crack in my voice "yes ma I know that I love you so much and my dad I love yall." Trying to hold the tears sadly it's not working so well. As it streams down my face my dad had placed his knee on the floor in front of me.

Then he look at me with a smile then said "hey champ you going to stay safe for us and your mother." I steadied my voice and said while forcing an smile on my face "yea I will stay safe and be brave for you two." They both smiled big then heard the door bell.

Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong! We looked at the time it was already 5 o clock. I wonder to my self how long did I sleep? We gathered our backpacks full of stuff, we layer them in the living room.

While my dad let Jayson and his family in. We greeted them as they came though the door. Then Jayson was calling my name in the kitchen
"Jake Jake come here!"

I walked into the kitchen saying "hey Jay how are you." he looked sad at that question and said "man I'll mangage but I really don't know. I'm scared and sad I hate to say goodbye. Jake..... Do you think we'll see them again?" I looked at him and thought about that question.

Then after an minute I said "Jay to be honest I don't know it hurt me just saying bye to them, just thinking about being separated from them.

let's just believe that when this is all over we will see their bright smiles and faces." he looked at me still depressed but not as badly and responded "you make a good point at lest we can stay together we won't be that alone." l looked at him with an smirk.

Then i said "true true" then as I open the fridge about to reach for an chocolate bar Jayson mother called me "Jake would you please come here for a minute." I closed the fridge the walk towards the hall were she stood. As I walked up to her she said

"Jake can you make sure you and him keep safe and stay outta of trouble OK?" I reassured her and said "i will don't worry Mrs. Heart." she gently smiled back and put her hand in my hair and soon was called away.

It was nearly 6 o'clock then we all started to gather our stuff and head out the door. "We wasted to much time. We need to head to the children shelter after that then we will go to the adult one." But son were is your shelter located at? "The paper says it's located at

Lakeview drive."I had stated to him. From the driver Seat I hear dad mumble "that's s a mile away from our shelter we got to hurry." I asked them "will you both make to your shelter in time."

she reassuring me "yes sweetheart, we will make it it only and hour we still got till 12 o'clock so don't worry about us." I responded to her "OK. "letting a yawn out. Then somehow I fell asleep.

While later my dad shaking me" wake up champ." I open my eyes to see them sad" bye son I will miss you so much." then mom after dad pounced at me with a big hug crying and sobbing I started to cry she said "I love you sweet heart be safe." I said in tears "OK mom I love you too, I will miss you both so much stay safe."

They walked me to the door it slowly open revealing a guard. As the door fully opened the guard told me to come in I turned around as the door closed slowly as my parents waved Goodbye. I muttered "Goodbye, love you."
