After the door finally closed. Then the guard told me he will have to leave and go after an hour pass he said "I will Lock the door so No one or nothing hurts y'all. This is the only rule do not open this door at all after today because, if this in a nuke attack there will be no rule for a while so it will be man for himself in the world.
Don't open the door we will be back as soon as possible. You all have food for a few year use it smartly.
I will announce this to everyone before I leave." "What's your name son?" I responded "Jake.....Jake Layfield sir." "Jake OK... That's cool name you have there kid." "Thanks" I said. Then we started to walk he showed me around as we walked down the hall.
He stated "this is were the two underground showers, this here one giant room full of bunk beds for hundreds of children. There was a food supply room, at the end of the hall was the rec room/living room with-out the TV. It was just magazine's , a coffee table and some toy for the little kids, and whole bunch of couches.
Then he said there you will find the cafeteria that way where you kids will eat at. And to the left of the cafeteria lies the exercise room with weights, treadmills and etc....that's it for the tour."
"So...Jake any questions?" I said "no sir you covered it all but why can't there be any alduts here." I asked he said "well son I have no idea but the government wanted like this I dislike this idea of his, that's all I know sorry about that topic." I told him "It's OK." Then he said "Jake go meet everyone in the cafeteria until I leave."
I nodded then went toward the door and opened the door. I had never seen all these children in one spot I said to myself as I entered. Then I heard an familiar voice. Jayson was yelling my name over the loud commotion in the room. "Jake! Jake! over here waving to me."he yelled I walk over towards him and took a seat in the free blue chair.
Jake said "hey man what took so long." I responded, lifting my eyebrows up "what do you mean it was a tour, the guard took me through didn't you get one too?" he looked surprised and said "no, no one got an tour, he just told us to come in here and he will pick someone to be in charge of us." he mockingly said oooo I think you will get put in charge, I bet you a dollar bill."
I quickly said no I don't believe that, I don't think you do either just betting one dollar." he said ooh OK if your in charge you giving me a dollar if not I give you a dollar." I laughed and said "OK don't be mad when you lose a dollar." "that's find by me" he said.
Soon an hour passed by the door can open. The guard came in then shut the door behind him. He had got everyone's attention after he cleared his throat. "Hmm......Everyone!"
He did to make sure every one was paying attention to him. The room fell in silence. He started to talk again "So, I have pick someone out of you all to make sure everything is in control while I'm gone. But before that I will let you know After appointing someone i will be leaving after this.
And also don't ever leave or open the door because, if this an real nuke attack you will be risking others lives. Plus you will OK with food and water for 4 years. Before then we should be back for you all."
The children were mumbling to their friends, sisters, or brothers about this surprising news. Then he brought our attention back to him. Then he said "now here is the kid, In charge of you all. Will you come up over here.......
