I put you into danger every chance I get, don't I?

"Even if we leave you two alone, still I'm gonna be watching on surveillance cameras, so it wouldn't make any difference." L responded to Misa who was complaining to him about hers and Lights privacy. "You, pervert? Could you stop over your creepy hobby?" She complained once again, "You can call me whatever you like. Plus, thanks for the cake." He responded taking Misas' cake away from her and started eating it.

She started going on about going away from the cameras but that idea was shot down as well.
"What's wrong with you? I thought moving here was supposed to help us to catch Kira. But since we've been here, you don't seem all that motivated to me." Pointed out Light, staring down L, "Not motivated? You're right. Actually I'm depressed."
"Depressed?" You ask in slight disbelief.

"Well, hmm, all this time I thought you were Kira in my entire case, and in fact you weren't.
I guess I just can't get past the fact that my deduction was wrong.
Although having said that, I'm still suspicious of you Light. That's why I'm wearing these," L points out referring to the handcuffs "And we also know that Kira can control people's actions. Which means; it's highly likely that Kira was controlling your actions so that I would suspect you. If I assume both you and Misa were being controlled by him, then everything we'd observed so far makes a lot more sense to me."

You sat in silence for the rest of the day watching the trio go back and forth until the two boys started to fight.

Light threw the first punch and Misa ran behind the couch and towards the windows and you just sat there watching the two.

"You know that really hurt."
"That's enough! You don't feel like doing anything just because your genius deduction was wrong and I'm not Kira?"
"Hm, fine; perhaps I phrased that in the wrong way.
And it would be pointless for us to make a move so we shouldn't even bother."
"If we don't chase Kira, he'll never be caught. Is that what you want?" Light went on ranting, "If you just got to give up, then why did you involve all those innocent people? More importantly what was the point in putting Misa and me behind bars?"

"I understand. But still, whatever the reason..." And then L hit Light. The two just went on smacking and hitting each other while talking; you started yelling at them along with Misa. "Boys stop!" "Light honey!" It was the second that Light threw another of what seemed like hundreds of hits at L that you moved yourself in between the chained men.

Everything instantly slowed down; Lights fist didn't stop moving, heck maybe it was too late for it to stop. But where it connected to, well, it just had to hit the center of your neck. And then the instant the pain set in everything came back and you hit the floor wrapping your hands around your neck, digging your hands into your palms pretending that it was rope or wires and your knuckles started to turn white. "Rika oh my god!" Misas' screaming voice was the first one that you heard and the first thing that you noticed was L attacking Light head on again but with a new vigor. You try telling him to stop but you couldn't breathe and you couldn't talk; what made it feel worse for you was that you didn't know if this effect was a mind trick or not.

You shut your eyes and start seeing the coffee shop from all that time ago and watch that scene play out, your state of mind getting worse and worse.

You heard the elevators familiar ding and a pair of footsteps; one stopped when it reached you but the other went and dragged the two men away from each other, or at least the distance that the chain allows. You feel the uncomfortable and familiar feeling of an oxygen mask being tied down onto your face. Trying to remove your hands from the invisible rope and claw at the mask; before you can reach the mask both of your hands has been pulled down onto the floor, both palms facing up and pressed onto the ground.

"Hey, hey, hey," Said a voice above me-Ryuzaki-L-he was trying to calm you down and this time your arms stopped trying to break free altogether. The deep breathing never stopped and currently you're hyperventilating and no amount of calming from L was going to stop you. "You're going to be okay," He whispers in your ear trying to get you to calm. Your breathing slowed down and you started gulping down the air that the oxygen mask and its tank is giving you like a kid craving candy. "I've got it guys," His voice said above my head.

The feet from earlier left with heading into the elevator and the only people that you see left in the room is Light, L and Misa. "Are you okay Ri-Ri?" Misa asked kneeling beside you on the ground. Taking another gulp of the sweet, sweet oxygen you nod your head and remove the mask resting your head on blue jeaned legs. "I thought you said that your observational skills decreased if you didn't sit gargoyle." You mumble; Ryuzaki replied with, "I thought you already said that."

"You guys are too cute," Misa squealed looking at the two of you. Lifting your head up you stand up and start to leave the room and open the elevator being stopped by a hand on your wrist. "Misa let me go." "No now come on, have some fun." She complains "Let go," You demand wanting nothing but to punch Light in his stupid, stupid face. With a sigh Misa releases your hand and lets you go into the elevator. Clicking the '3' button you put in your ID; leaning back against the elevator wall seeing Ls' sullen face when the doors closed. "It's going to bruise," You said to yourself touching the spot where Lights fist hit your neck.

The loud dinging sounded and you trudged into your bedroom falling face first onto your bed, falling into a fitful sleep.

"(F/N) come quick," Your roommate, Mei Himura came running into your apartment. "What is it?" You ask lifting your head from the psychology book sitting criss-crossed on your bed. "Midori isn't in town and there's this psycho on campus and he-he has a gun." Mei explains quickly pulling your arm and dragging it out the door and across the street onto campus grounds. "Run Mei, (F/N); some guy is waving a gun around." Said a student running out of the school gates. "Mei where is this guy?" You ask your friend then led to this guy who was wearing this black hazy hoodie. The outlines of the hoodie didn't lead to an end, the color seeped out into the air.

Suddenly you were in front of the guy and your voice is already speaking. "-I know that you need help and that you want to hurt people, but you should put the gun down," You spoke quietly truly not knowing what you're doing. "Get-get out of my head," He shouted and then he shot you right in the popliteal artery and then shot himself right in the head. Screams echoed around your head and then you blacked out for a split second until you got in another bad situation.

Coffee machine wires were on your boss's fist is now pulling at your neck. People start screaming and staring while a few call the police. You weren't going to let your boss/friend kill you so you start struggling trying to pull the wires from around your neck.

The same time as you get light headed the sirens were heard in the distance. Your boss pulls harder on the wires causing you to black out for a few seconds. Your hearing is muffled because of the loss of oxygen to your brain messing up your senses. You were in and out of consciousness eventually fading into black. The wires never stopped pulling at your neck. The screaming in the restaurant never stopped, in fact they just grew louder and louder and louder; blood started running down your ear and you feel liquid running down your eye.

"(F/N), (F/N)...come on I need you to wake up, I need you to be with me! I can't do this without you so hurry up and wake up!" The voice faded in and out screaming louder each and every time.

You scream waking up rolling on your back staring at the ceiling. After gaining your bearings you slowly look around, seeing no one in the bedroom. "That voice..." You mumble to yourself sitting up on your comforter. That voice...was Ls'.
