Choked (LxReader)

~Four~

                 

The next day when you wake up you find that you're in the infirmary bed on top of all the covers with the exception of a light blanket draped over your body. Getting up you walk into the hall heading to the bathroom with a pair of shorts, under-things, and a (F/C) tank top with you. Getting into the shower you pull out a shampoo bottle and start washing your hair with it. While doing so you relive everything that happened since nearly dying. You also realized that you've done barely anything to help the Kira case, the entire reason your presumed dead by the world other than the task force working in that living room. Again, short tempered and hot headedness always had the upper hand on you; to put it simply you punched the inside of the delicate shower leaving a dent in your fists wake.

You take the conditioner and repeat the process, punching and all. You leave the bathroom in your clothes with you (H/C) hair tied up in a ponytail with strands still left in your (S/C) face.

"Rika," A police officer, the chief if you remember correctly calls earning your attention "This is my son, Light Yagami. My son will be helping the case from now on." He says. He's nervous of what I'm going to say to or about his son. Fake yawning you apologize for yawning and explain that you are tired. Looking around everyone that saw you yawned except for Light. 'Why is he working with us?" You ask referring to the chiefs' earlier statement. "He's been useful on other cases," One of the agents defended and you come up with another question.

"How are we sure that he isn't Kira?" You ask and Light immediately acts offended saying how both you and Ryuzaki are thinking this. Again I yawn and again, Light doesn't yawn with them. 'He isn't mentally stable' you note in your head.

People who aren't psychopathic yawn when they see someone else yawn causing a chain reaction. Psychopathic, sociopathic people don't; you can't remember exactly why but you do remember that it's fact. "No she does have a right to be suspicious," A monotonous voice was heard from the other side of the room. "Wait...aren't you that girl that got strangled to death?" Light asks completely ignoring Ryuzakis' voice. "Then aren't I'm supposed to be six feet under?" You ask feeling your temper rising. 'Dumb brain that feels anger too quickly'. "Rika I'm going to need you to step out of the room," Ryuzaki tells you but you just stare at him. You notice that his monotone had an edge to it so this is serious. You then realize that Ryuzaki and Light are staring at each other. "So you really don't trust each other," You say observing the two men with the Chief and you stuck in the middle.

"He has a right to but I don't like that he thinks I'm Kira even though I'm not," Light says slightly losing his calm composure. "We all have a right to accuse someone," You reply trying to get his composure to crumble. "But, not someone who's innocent," He retorts and before you can fight back Ryuzaki butts in once again. "Rika. Go. Now." He orders snapping his fingers. Mumbling a slur of curse words you leave the room heading towards the infirmary room that you had turned into your own considering it was made for you.

Turning on the small TV you type in the number for Sakura TV. Immediately a broad cast started playing. "Ahem. I am Kira. If this video is being aired on April 18th, at exactly 5:59 p.m. as I requested, then the time now is 5:59. 47,48, 49...please change the channel to Taiyo TV.
The news anchor Mr. Kazuhiko Hibima would die of a heart attack at exactly 6 o'clock." The videos discontorted voice says. Pulling the notebook off of the bedside table and the pen you used before and started taking down word for word that the TV broadcast said. Immediatley changing the station you see that the news anchor was already dead, his body being dragged away. You take note of what happened while your other hand switches the TV back to Sakura.

The voice came back saying "This is punishment. I will present you with another victim.
My next target is NHN TV commentator Mr. Seiji Komaizumi, who's scheduled to appear in a live broadcast. He too has dared to defy Kira." Again writing those exact word down you switch to the other channel. Once again the commenter was already dead, body being dragged away; you take note of it and switch back to Sakura TV.
