You missed your older sisters funeral and barely went to Ryuzakis. For the next year you along with the remaining team helped Light since he turned to the new L find Kira and your obsession with finding and killing Kira grew; you had a fascinating handle on you crazy obsession to kill him though. You clung onto whatever information you had before your L had died and tried to no extent to find the real Kira even when the team would quit at seemingly dead ends. Wedy and Aiber died on top of everything.

You grew closer to Misa as well and wouldn't get her involved with anything involving your professional life. You were there for Chief Souchiros funeral looking dead in the eyes, a new stinger stabbed into your heart. You still looked into the Life Note deal but never could find it.

Finally this guy, Near or N came into the picture and today you were all meeting for the first time...in a warehouse.

The second you get there Near starts talking about the Death Note, its properties and that all of our names were about to be written in it. A wicked smile spread across Lights face and it looked like was about to start laughing. Eventually Light just came out and said it, he said "Looks like I win." Forty seconds past and nothing happened; you couldn't help feel the slightest bit disappointed that you couldn't go and be with L in the afterlife. Finally though, Light broke and started screaming about how this was a set up. Once he settled down and admitted though...

"Oh you idiots the only true nuisance on my team was Rika!" He screamed at you and nearly lunged for you. "If I was this annoying then why didn't you kill me?" Seething you ask letting a tear slide down your cheek. "You can thank Misa for that one, she kept you out of the way enough so that I never had to kill you; granted there were a few close calls." He rambles on maniacally. "You're psychotic," "Never thought that I'd see you shrink me. How long has it shrinked someone. Since Ls' sweet, sweet demise?" He teases causing you to run at him. You're pulled back by Matsuda who's trying to console you "You bastard! You killed him, you killed L and for god's sake you killed your own father!" You screech at Light falling to the ground.

Taking your hostility as a window he ran out of the warehouse but was delayed with Matsuda shooting him. Ripping his gun out of his hands you run off with it chasing down Light, Kira,the person who ripped away the person you loved most.

You ran after him not having a clear shot; letting the setting suns breeze you feel a nagging in your brain, telling you exactly where Light is. Turning into a warehouse you see Lights body crumpled onto the metal staircase his breathing shallow. "What're you going to do...kill me?" He asks voice quiet "Yes, I am." With that you stand at the end of the stairs, aim and pull the trigger.
