Diana's P.O.V

"I told ye to stay away from the boy. " Angered Broden stomped over to me.

"I tried and I did he came to me. " I said putting away the tack not interested in having an argument right now. I got to go to Claire and he's standing in the way.

"thats a silly excuse! HE WAS SUPPOSE TO MARRY MY DAUGHTER! Now she's heartbroken!! " He screamed catching Alec's attention. The bald man came over standing infront of me.

"What's the problem here with ye shouting at the lass let her be and work. "Alec stated glaring and Broden.

"She's the problem. " Broden growled and I got into a fighting stance ready to pounce.

"Maybe you are. " I said which angered him even more. Oh boy finally a fight.

"Leave the lass. " Alec said defending me and not budging.

"Thanks for the help Alec but I want to solve this on my own." I put my hand on his shoulder and smiled. He give me a questioning glance and I just nodded reassuring him.

"Alright, if he does anything shout me name. " He told me walking away. This was the first time Alec and me had a proper conversation.

"So where did we stop? " I asked smirking and provoking.

"Nevermind. " Broden said shaking his head and turning around knowing he can't do anything to me with Alec around.

"You want to get your anger out yeah!? Well go on I won't scream I'll fight back. " I told him and he froze turning around and looking at me weirdly.

"Yer a lass what could ye do to me. " He laughed and I glared punching him with full force shutting his gob and make him fall to the ground.

"Ye bitch!!" He shouted getting up with blood spilling out of his mouth and punching me in the stomach. It was sore but not enough to make me even flinch.

Both of us got into fighting stances and started throwing punches and kicks. I could take five other men like him at once but I let him win sometimes.

I did a round house kick and he collapsed again.. Beads of sweat trickled down our faces and both of us panted.

Broden got up and tackled me to the ground getting up on me he threw punch after punch I managed to overcome some by moving my head and making him hit the ground instead.

Kneeing him in the balls I got up on him this time managing to punch his throat making him wheeze and gag. Both of us scrambled up and circled eachother. Broden decided to attack first lunging at me with his fist. Quickly taking hold of his arm I twisted it.

"Agh! " He screamed while I was close to breaking his arm. I let go and moved away while Broden collapse to the ground and turned around to lay on his back.

"Good fight. " He stated closing his eyes for a minute. His face was a mess all bloodied. I probably didn't look any better.

Making my away over to him I layed down beside him and looked up admiring the clouds and sky.

"That looks like a dog. " I laughed pointing at a cloud in the shape of a dog. Broden looked at it and smiled with twinkles in his eyes. He looked enlighted.

"I never looked at clouds that way. " He murmured staring at the sky.

"That one looks like a sword." He pointed out and I sighed happily.

"Yeah it does. " I said truthfully. I started looking for more shapes but was interrupted by Connor standing above me with wide eyes.

"What happened to your face!! " He shouted and I held out my hands. He took a hold of them and helped me get up off the ground.

"Nothing. " I smiled and he looked at me speechless. His expression changed to anger and he looked at engrossed in clouds Broden.

"Who attacked ye. I will kill them! "He shouted asking Broden who burst out laughing.

"Whe fought against eachother. " I laughed along with Broden.

"He did this to ye. " Connor asked examining my face.

"It was a fair fight alright the lass nearly broke me in half. " Broden said getting up and with a grunt holding his side.

"No she's just a lass!! " Connor said taking out his sword. I stood in-between them angry.

"I can take care of myself. " I slowly reached for Brodens sword. Broden looked at what I was doing and smirked at Connor crossing his arms.

"Move Diana. " Connor said pushing me aside and clashing his sword against Brodens which I was holding..

"Stop." I said and he ignored me swinging his sword again trying to reach Broden but once again I blocked the attack.

"Stop! " I shouted and he glanced at me with that look saying 'i feel betrayed'.

"We fought because I wanted to I started it. " I told him and he stepped back putting away his sword.

"Come on then. " He said glaring at Broden and taking my hand. I gave Broden a sorry sincere smile and handed the sword over to him.

"Let's go. " I said and Connor took a hold of my face gently as if he was afraid it would hurt me. Not caring about the blood he kissed me. I realised that when he did that he stared at Broden as if to say back off and Broden stood there with clenched fists. Did I miss something?

Connor finally pulled back and looked at me concerned.

"I'm taking ye to the healer. " He said picking me up and carrying me bridle style. I simply enjoyed it and snuggled into his chest as he kissed the top of my head. God he can be a jerk most times.... A cute sexy jerk.

"I love ye. "He said sitting me on a fence. I looked at his worried expression.

"Why are you so worried? " I asked.

"I'm worried someone might take ye away from me.. " He trailed off. And I gestured for him to come closer. I pulled him into a hug and he placed his head on my chest while I combed my hand through his hair.

"I'm sorry. " I whispered letting a tear fall. I hope he didn't hear that but at the same time I hope he did.

"What was that? " He asked looking up at me. I just gave him a fake smile holding in the salty tears.

"Nothing. " I answered like the coward I am.
