Slaight's pov

I opened my eyes expecting to be in my nest but instead i was somewhere near the thunderpath. A meowing sound caught my attention, as i got closer i heard more voices, the sound of young apprentices. "Gold what are you doing?" i was confused, where these clan cats? "I was just going for a walk Leopard, no need to worry!" i peeked though the bushes spotting four young apprentice looking kits. "Shine what are you day dreaming about this time?" 'Leopard' whined. "Me!? Hail is the one sniffing around where he shouldn't" the she-cat exclaimed. "I'm looking for Mud" the other tom said. "I'm over here". I finally saw the cats clearly, Leopard is a gray-ish she-cat with black leopard like spots and black muzzle, next to her a smaller she-cat by the name Shine was a really light gray, almost shiny looking furred she-cat. The other three were toms, Mud was a brown tabby, Gold is yellow-ish and red-ish orange, and Hail is a gray-ish blue. "I can't believe those cats chased us off, it's not fair, we just want to be like them" Gold said, he looked like the youngest. "I promised i'd protect you all, didn't I? We still have one more clan to ask" Leopard said as she led the cats, I jumped in their way. "Intruders, I must take you to Cloudedstar" i led them back to camp. After what seemed forever Cloudedstar announced that the cats would be staying. "Considering we are low on apprentices Slaightfur, I know you are ready for an apprentice, you are a wonderful warrior and i know you'll train Leopardpaw well" I smiled and touched noses with the gray and black she-cat. "Thank you" she whispered to me as Snakeheart touched his nose to Shinepaw. I walked over to him to talk about training, out of the corner of my eye i saw Splashleaf yelling with Smokepatch bout how he should stop getting angry about not getting an apprentice. "It's not fair, Snakeheart is old and will join Ravinclaw in the elders den soon, if not Silverpelt in Starclan!" he hissed at her. "Well maybe if you weren't so ambitious then you would get an apprentice that you won't train to do wrong things" she hissed back. "Did we cause that?" Goldpaw asked coming with his mentor Rainpelt. "Of course not, let's go train" i said leading the cats out of the fight and into the forest.
