Slaight's pov

I grabbed a mouse from the fresh-kill pile and carried it to the end of the camp, sitting at entrance of the nursery, waiting for Leopardpaw to wake up so we can start training. The clouds formed across the sky and it started to rain lightly, but I think the whole clan knew it would pick up soon and soak us all. I let out a surprised and defending hiss when i felt someone kick me in the back side, i turn to see Honeyfur had tripped over me. "Oh, sorry Slaightfur, i didn't see you their" she said sitting up and shaking the dust from her pelt. "I'm alright, how is Suntail? How is he handling the kits?" we sit and talk sharing the mouse. "He's worried they won't like him when they get older, but he's just being silly" i nod, turning my head to the apprentice den were Leopardpaw and Mudpaw emerged, Mistpelt yelling at them to hurry so we could start training. "Looks like you need to go, poor Mudpaw, any apprentice would cry if they had Mistpelt as a mentor" i sigh and run over the my sister and the two smaller cats. "Their you are, come on, were going to be late and won't finish in time" Mistpelt growls as me leading the way to the small battle training clearing. About when it was sun-high we let the apprentices battle, I sat on the side line with Mistpelt and Moonfur, sense Moonfur was my mentor she wanted to see me train my apprentice, and she though it would be good for Tigerkit and Frostkit to learn sense their four moons. As is started Leopardpaw jumped at Mudpaw who got onto his back, extending his paws and grabbing Leopardpaw by her underbelly, flipping them over so he was on top. Leopardpaw managed to hit him off and scrambled to her paws, leaping at Mudpaw and throwing a blow his way but he managed to dodge, and jump onto her back. Leopardpaw rolled over, getting him off and rolling under his as he got to his paws, pushing him far into the air and landing with a thud. "Nice job!" Frostkit purred running up to Mudpaw and helping him to his paws, he let out a miss of pain, Leopardpaw copying him when Tigerpaw helped her out. "Somewhere in our squabble I landed wrong" she said. "Me to" Mistpelt rolled her eyes. "Fine, we'll go back to camp and you two can see Minttail" she grumbled, disappearing into the bushes. I picked up Leopardpaw and Moonfur picked up Mudpaw and we carried them into camp, carefully dropping them into the moss beds for Minttail to take care of them. "Slaightfur!" i turn and see Splashleaf. "How are you? It feels like forever sense i'v seen you" she says sitting beside me, her fur soaked in rain as it started to fall harder. "I'm well, but i think we should check the river" before we could move Roseheart, Raystripe, and Ashleaf ran into camp yelling the river is over-flowing. Berryfoot and Cloudedstar gathered everyone to the middle of camp. "Slaightfur, Splashleaf, Ashleaf, Whitestripe and Rainpelt, you help get the kits, the warriors that have apprentices, don't let them out of your site, the rest of the warriors, find us a safe place and keep the water back" we all nod and run to do our job. Leopardpaw and Goldpaw following behind, once inside i saw the queens had their tails curled around their kits. Rainpelt ran to Thundertail, picking up Littlekit and Goldpaw picking up Tangledkit before running back out, Thundertail following close behind. Splashleaf and Ashleaf help eachother lead Tigerkit and Frostkit to safety sense they are a little to big to carry without getting tired easily, Whitestripe picked up Marigoldkit and I got Flamekit, Honeyfur following behind us, leaving the nursery empty. By now the water started coming into camp, lapping at out paws, I spotted Rainpelt running towards a hole in the side of camp, it was a small climb but it led to safety on a ledge high up. They started getting Tigerkit and Frostkit to climb, before climbing them selves, we quickly followed, the water a little above out paws now, I handed Flamekit to Honeyfur who began to climb, Whitestripe following and then i followed him. Suddenly, before we got to the ledge water started pouring from the top, some warriors got the kits but doing so Rainpelt, Raystripe and Mudpaw fell back into the water filled camp. I grabbed onto Mudpaw who was holding onto Rainpelt, but they both started to slip, seeing this, Rainpelt let go, allowing me to hoist Mudpaw into the hiding place, safe of water. His pelt was scratched up and his back paw has a Twoleg thing stuck in it causing him pain, it's silver and sharp on one end and smooth sharp on the other, a wooden stick on another side, I quickly pulled it out and Minttail worked on him right away. The clan, sat with their families, crying over Raystripe and Rainpelt's deaths, curling up together to keep warm as the camp was still flooded and no way out without getting drowned. Jaypaw curled up into my side for warmth, but when i open my eyes, I'm back in the Dark forest, my siblings already getting back to work, Jaypaw hugging close to my side, wondering what Darkheart has planned this time.
