"A real gentleman's treatment of his girl never fades. He doesn't treat her right for a few months and then stop. A true gentleman keeps her smiling."

When Jennifer walked out of her house Saturday morning to go visit her best friend Carliee, she gasped at what she saw. On the windshield of her car was "WE ARE WATCHING YOU" in black Sharpie. Tears welled up in her eyes as she realized what was happening. Someone, most likely a gang, was watching her and Garrett. The real question was, what were they planning? She immediately pulled out her phone and called Carson. On the third ring, he finally answered.

"Hello?"

"Carson, I need your help."

"What is it now? Did your car break down again?"

"I'm dead fucking serious, Carson James. Something is seriously wrong."

Carson immediately noticed that something was terribly wrong. Jennifer Vice never cursed unless something got to her badly. "What is it?"

"Someone wrote "WE ARE WATCHING YOU" in black Sharpie on the windshield of my car. Carson, please help me. I'm about to start literally freaking out."

There was a long pause for a second, and it made Jennifer freak out even more inside. "Don't worry, Jennifer. Jase and I will be there as fast as we can. Just hang in there for a sec."

Jennifer nodded, even though she knew he couldn't see. "O-Okay. Please hurry."

"We will, babygirl. Just hang in there for a sec, and I promise you we'll be there. Bye."

"Bye."

Jennifer pressed the 'end call' button, and shoved her phone in her pocket. She thanked God that Garrett was still inside when she saw this. The tears started falling as she sat down on the ground to try to calm down. She wrapped her arms around her legs and set her chin between her knees. She kept pleading in her head for Jase and Carson to hurry up and get there.

Once Carson ended the call, he immediately went to Jase's office. Somehow, he thought that Jase would agree to coming. He walked into Jase's office without knocking to see him smoking a pack of cigarettes already in the morning.

"What is it Carson?" Jase asked, annoyed that he barged in.

"Jase, it's Jennifer," Carson breathed out, his heart pounding with adrenaline. "Someone wrote "WE ARE WATCHING YOU" in black Sharpie on the windshield of her car."

Jase's eyes widened when he heard of the incident. "Shit. Why would they freaking go after her? How do they even know about her? Her and I didn't go anywhere together."

"You two used to go places together when you were dating. Maybe they remember her and decided to go after her now to get to you."

Jase nodded, getting up from his leather chair. "Okay, let's just go. Knowing her, she's probably flipping out right now."

"She's Jennifer, what do you expect?" Carson joked, walking out of the office with him. "She freaks out when she sees a tiny spider. Just think of what she's doing about this!"

They both laughed as they climbed into Jase's truck. Then, a sudden thought popped into his head when he remembered his talk with Jennifer the other day. "Jase, do you still like Jennifer?"

"No," He answered, making a face. "I'm over her. She was just another girl back then. I've met other girls and I'll keep messing around."

Carson nodded. Something told him that both Jase and Jennifer were lying to him and themselves. He has read bunches of romance novels -he couldn't believe he was admitting this- and had a thought of what this was going to result in.
