Hailey's P.O.V
Morning is the time when you set the tone for the rest of the day. It's a day for new opportunities
Too bad I'm not a morning person.
Waking up at 8 am during your summer vacations should be a crime. Well, try telling that to my wretched alarm on my phone. It rings every day at the same time even after repairing it. Some freaking technical problem. So, now that my sleep has completely disappeared and no use going back to sleep, I decided to get up and brush my teeth. As I was brushing, I couldn't help but think about last night. Damn! Did that really happen? Well, it seemed real. I also started thinking about what would happen today. I'll be spending the whole day with Logan. That thought made my stomach churn with nervousness and excitement.
I must have stood there for about fifteen minutes with my toothbrush inside my mouth, paste foam all around my mouth area, looking like an idiot and that's when Karla knocked the bathroom door, jolting me out of my daydream.
"Hailey, have you fallen asleep or what?" she called loudly.
"Nope. I-I'm coming!"I replied quickly, washing my mouth and face.
"Come down to the kitchen. I'll be there."she said. "Be there in five!" I called back. I quickly dried my mouth and put on my hoodie and went down to the kitchen.
"Morning, Karla", I said, hugging her. She hugged me and greeted me back. "Hmm...that smells wonderful!"I said, looking longingly at the wonderful pancakes she was making.
"You'll only get these if you do me a favour," she said, flipping a pancake. Yeah, as if the last time went well. "Now what?" I said not liking this at all.
"Can you go upstairs and ask Logan too get up and come down for breakfast? Don't go inside because the last time you went in..." she babbled and I cut her short.
"Karla? Karla...okay fine. That's it. I know what happened in there. You don't have to remind me every time. I'll go, okay? I'm doing this for the pancakes and not for you!" I said huffing.
"Thank You, Hailey! I love you so much." She said, with a huge smile on her face.
"Yeah, yeah fine." I said. Pancakes- You owe me !
I went out of the kitchen and started climbing up the stairs. I think I was having a nervous attack. My hands started getting all sweaty and my heart was beating fast. What if-what if he opens the door and is shirtless or something? I bet my books I'll die!
I stood in front of his door. Okay brain, time for you to shut up. I cleared my throat and thumped on his door loudly. I heard him mumbling something and there was silence again. Probably went back to sleep. I didn't give up. I wanted those pancakes. "LOGAN! WAKE UP. IT'S MORNING. IF YOU WANT YOUR BREAKFAST, COME DOWN NOW! FAST!" I screamed. Gosh! My throat. It was definitely a bad idea. I thumped on his door the last time and ran down to the kitchen as if there were 10 bears chasing me. By the time I reached the kitchen, I was panting hard. Well, looks like I need some exercise. At this rate, I would be eaten by 10 bears in a jiffy.
"My, God, Hailey! Was that you screaming? And well, you look as if you were being chased by 10 bears! Hahaha..." my aunt said, laughing at me. Holy....How did she know? Dark Magic.
"Well, you can say that I need to work on my stamina." I said, drinking some water.
"Uh, Huh. Anyway, Thanks." she said, flipping over more pancakes.
...
Twenty five minutes. That's the time Logan took to come down. That's worse than my record. My stomach was making these weird noises while I was eyeing those delicious pancakes. Karla and I were sitting on the dining table waiting for Logan to come down and whenever I tried taking a pancake, she would tell me wait and be patient and that isn't good manners. I was just about to get up and grab those damn pancakes when Logan decided to grace us with his presence. He came down, calmly, checking something on his phone. Boy! Didn't he look good?! No, Hailey. Stop. You are angry with him, remember?
