Meeting Joe's Family

Joe's POV:

Me and Skye had been dating for about three months now and it has been great. Next week was Wrestlemania so we were all so excited. I woke up and saw that Skye wasn't next to me. I heard the shower running so I knew she was in the bathroom. Then my phone started ringing. It was my dad.

Phone Convo ( D=Dad J=Joe )

J- Hey Pops, how's it going?

D- It's going great. How are you and the boys?

J- Great, we have championship matches at Wrestlemania next week. You gonna be there?

D- Of course I will. I'm so proud of my son. And I heard you have a new girlfriend. What's her name?

J- Her name's Skye and she is amazing.

D- She better not be like you're ex, Galina who cheated on you.

J- No way Pops, we've been dating for three months now and I can tell you that she makes really happy. I'm so lucky that I met someone as great as her, plus, she's known Colby since she can remember so obviously I can trust her. She's amazing, trust me.

D- If you say so son. Anyways, your mum said that she wants to meet you guys since Wrestlemania will be in our hometown, Florida.

J- Okay Pops. We're leaving the hotel today so we will probably see you tomorrow.

D- Okay, love you son. Bye.

J- Love you Pops, bye.

Then Skye came out of the bathroom. I gave her a kiss on the lips. I was hoping she wouldn't freak out too much when I told her what my dad said.

"Hey Joe. Who was on the phone?" she asked. 

"My dad. He said that the entire family wants to meet you." I said terrified that she gonna freak. Her face went from smiley and cheerful to worried.

Skye's POV:

Joe's family wanted to meet me?? I was freaking out. Fuh- reaking out. What would they think of me?

"Cupcake, its okay. The fam are gonna love you." said Joe.

"Are you sure? What if they think that I am not good enough for you?" I asked. "What if they don't like me? What if-"

Then Joe kissed me. He pulled away and said softly, "Trust me, they're gonna love you."

"Thanks baby. And that was a really nice way of telling me to shut up." I said smiling.

"You're just so cute when you're worried. Anyway, since we're leaving for Florida today, my dad said that we could meet them tomorrow." he said.

"Okay." I said smiling whilst still freaking out inside.

*The next day*

We were going to see Joe's parents today and I was so nervous. I dressed up as perfect as I could. I had a simple yet classy dress on.

"You look beautiful." he said.

"Thanks." I said.

We got into the car and drove to Joe's house. As we pulled up, my heart started pounding. Joe held my hand and gave it a little squeeze.

"You ready? " he said.

"Yeah." I said.

We got out and I looked at his house. It was huge. Joe knocked on the door and his mum answered it.

"Ma." he said.

"Joe, my baby." she said as she gave him a hug. Then she looked at me.

"Skye, how are you?" she asked as she gave me a hug.

"I'm great thank you Mrs Anoa'i." I said.

"Oh please, call me Patricia." she said. "Come on in."

We walked in and I saw Joe's dad, Sika, his brother Matt and his two sisters (which I have made up by the way) Anya and Audrey. They all came and bombarded us with hugs. This was amazing. They seemed really nice.

"Hi Skye." said Joe's dad.

"Hi Mr Anoa'i." I said.

"Please darling, call me Sika." he said.

I then got introduced to Matt, who was lovely, Audrey, who really seemed like my own sister and Anya, who didn't talk to me much. I had no idea why. We all sat around the dinner table and began to eat. I have to say, Patricia is a really good cook.

After we finished eating, I saw her starting to clear things away so I thought I would help her. The poor woman couldn't do all that cleaning by herself. I started to pick up the dirty plates and cutlery when she said, "Don't worry about that Honey."

"I'll pick up. I don't want you doing everything by yourself." I said. She smiled.

"Thank you honey, you are very sweet." she said.

We picked up all the plates and started to wash them.

"Thank you Sugar. " she said.

"It's okay. It's just a few pla-"

"No not the plates." she said. "I wanted to thank you for bringing the old Joe back to us. Ever since he found out that his ex-fiance was cheating on him, he was crushed. We never thought he would be the same again until you brought light into his life again." She said. Joe had told me about his ex before and what she had done. It was horrible.

"There's no reason to thank me. Joe is amazing. Anyone would be lucky to have him." I said.

"Well, I'm glad its you." she said as she wiped her hands and walked out of the kitchen. I wiped my hands and was about to walk out of the kitchen when Joe came in.

"Thanks for helping my mom Cupcake." he said.

"It was nothing and she's the sweetest person I've ever met." I said.

"I'm glad you like the family. I love you Skye." he said.

"I love you too." I said as we kissed. Suddenly, the door bell went as we pulled away.

Joe's POV:

The doorbell went which was weird since no one else was gonna come round. I heard my sister, Anya open the door and say, "Hi girl." I thought that she must have invited one of her friends round when suddenly my dad said, "What's that bitch doing here?" Now I was confused. Skye too. We both went to see who it was. My eyes widened when I saw. It was Galina, my ex. I could not believe that she had the guts to come over here. I looked at Skye who looked confused.

"Who is she?" she asked.

"My...... My ex." I said, dying inside. Skye's face dropped. I could tell that she was feeling uncomfortable with this. I felt horrible about this. I couldn't imagine how Skye was feeling about this. Galina went and sat down and started to talk to Anya. The rest of the family ignored her as I tried to comfort Skye. I could tell Galina was giving dirty looks to Skye.

About an hour later, we decided to leave. When we said goodbye to everyone but Anya and Galina, we got into the car and drove to the hotel. Skye stayed quiet the entire time. When we got back, Skye said I could go in the bathroom first so I went in. When I came out, I saw her on the floor, crying. I ran over to her.

"Baby, are you okay?" I asked.

"I felt horrible when Galina came, she made me feel like shit." she said as she cried, her head buried into my chest.

"It's okay, I don't know why she came. I think Anya invited her. I don't know why." I said.

"I'm scared she's gonna do something to ruin our relationship." she cried.

"She won't do anything." I said. After a few minutes, there was silence. I looked down to see Skye asleep. I put her on the bed to sleep and got in the other side. I needed to do something about Galina before it's too late.
