Once Again, Gone
I imagined my 16th birthday
To be filled with love and joy
And while it was
There was still a holeI laid in the grass, under the stars,
Watching as meteorites
shot across the sky
And while they sank in awe
So did my heartI now see what was obvious before.
You'll never turn 16
You'll never graduate
You'll never drive
You will only stay putStuck in a singular time which you put yourself in
A single moment which you will never be able to pass
And while I age
You can'tWhile I force myself to grow
You will stay frozen
In a place and time
I will never touch
And will never change
Because I'm now 16
And you're in a grave.
