1:52 - Light flickered inside me. I awoke; near fluttering to life.
Questions arose. Vision was still blurry. Everything was inconceivable.
1:53 - My eyes took the time to adjust to the faint light of the cell.
Mere dapples of the streaky moonlight was able to shine through. I found myself cramped with the rest of the meat. All of them.I started to fear the worst.
And then it realised.
I had led the meat to their deaths.
I needed to save them.
Because I was their only hope.
And that was scary.
1:54 - I needed to protect them. I would have to sacrifice my own health.
But it was worth it.
We were to face the metal within the hour.
It was too soon for most.
Most were just children.1:55 - I was cramped into a foetal position of sorts. I didn't know why I wasn't terrified. I was about to watch my own die in the hands if the metal. But it wasn't necessarily fear.
I was just shattered; shell shocked.
And all I could do was wait.
Wait until the metal came to take us to our deaths.
Millions watching. What we needed for an uprising. They would become martyrs. But it wasn't worth their deaths. I needed to protect them.
1:56 - There was such a silence that struck fear into our hearts. One that ominously depicted our darkest thoughts; perpetuating them.
1:57 - No one dared to talk. I looked to the Immortals. We shared a knowing glance. They knew we had to protect the meat.
1:58 - I spoke.
I told them all.
We knew what we had to do.
All we had to do now; was wait.
