Serena continued to stir in her bed, as she saw ash falling into that deep dark hole. Everything she knew seemed to crumble, falling down into the everlasting darkness. Then, things began to change. Ash's face twisted, as it faded into Calem's. Serena felt better at first, he was here for her, she didn't need ash... No! Screw ash...
WAIT! A voice screamed in her head. She couldn't just give up on him. He was her hope, her second half. Over time, he taught her to be independent. She couldn't turn that against him... Her head hurt, as calem just stared at her...
Serena gasped for air as she sat up, a wave of relief coming over her. She was ok. She was going to go to school, learn something, and start something new. Calem was her friend, and ash was gone. She could do nothing to change that fact. Serena rolled over, sitting up and reaching to her side. Her hand met the cooling touch of her water glass, as she raised it up to her lips. After a few refreshing gulps, she sat back with a sigh. "Time to get ready" she said to herself.
It took her a while to put on her cloths. In fact, they almost felt like a burden. She wanted to just stay in her underwear all day. Maybe watch some tv, and eat ice cream. But it was school day. SCHOOL! YAY... Wait... School... Learning. She chuckled as she thought back to when she despised school. She was just a little little kid then.
When Serena finally got out of her apartment building. The cool wind whipping her face. It was so peacefully busy out in the city. The buzz of noise falling into the background. She began to walk towards the main school building. She knew that walking was very in efficient, but it was a way for her to get her bearings.
Serena was nearing the main building. Outside she could see lots of kids walking around. She strolled into the group of people, and they seemed to separate around her. Then, as if out of nowhere, a familiar face appeared.
Serena gagged for air. This couldn't be coincidence, it has to be him. The raven hair, the hat, the jacket, no.... That is impossible...
"Ash?" Serena said.
