Her Ash

"The ash I know is full of energy. He's a leader, always knows what's best. He's always positive, he hangs in there, he never gives up till the very end. YOUR NOT ACTING LIKE THE ASH I KNOW!"
Everything seemed to go through his head at once. There was a girl. She was much younger than him. No, he was younger. She was hurt.... he helped her up. Everything was a blur. This same girl was older now, traveling away from him. Going down some stairs, but facing him. No... she was running back up... she... wait. She kissed him!
And then everything faded away again. No wait he was back, now him flying away. She was standing with someone else, wait, it was his friend Calem. He was continually being pulled away, but he didn't want to. Some force, some attraction kept him going, fighting it, but for what. But that force soon died out, and he was sucked into the abyss.
     He woke up again, this time laying on his back staring up. Right above him was that girl again... That girl... Serena! He sat up, and wrapped his arms around her. He was confused, but relieved.  That girl... That girl was Serena. The Serena he loved. The Serena he helped in summer camp. The one to snap him out when he was down. Kiss him goodbye, and to travel across the world just to save her. It was amazing how much one human being would do for another.
     "You... No... I... I remember. The forest. I met you. The time in Kalos. It all seemed a dream, but it's real isn't it"
     Serena didn't know what to think. Had ash truly remembered. Tears welled in her eyes as she hugged him tighter. "You... You remember" she said to him, as the shock of the moment seemed to sink in. This was her ash.

     After everything that happened, nether of the two wanted to give up. Togther they began their hike back to civilization. Eventually, they stumbled across a path. This path, Serena recognized. It led to calems. There, the two could rest.
