Ash stood outside the door of someone he truly cared about. Someone he hoped cared back. Someone he had supposedly known for longer than he even remembers. Maybe that explained his compassion towards this seemingly random person. He knocked at the door.
"Come in!" A voice said from the other side. Ash walked into the room. "Oh hi" Serena says to him. "Hey..." Ash replied. "So... umm.. I talked with Calem" ash began "and he told me you know me... like, and I know you. I've always felt some sort of connection to you, but I never knew like this. If there was another ash, I want to be him. Calem said you loved him, and well, I love you. Please tell me how to love you back"
At this, Serena was shocked. She had grown closer and closer to ash, and always had loved him, but now that it was said, it felt wrong. She did nothing for this. And no matter how good ash looked, this wasn't the same ash. "You... you aren't him..." she said quietly looking down.
"But don't you see... I CAN be him. Tell me. I want to be yours." But at that moment Serena couldn't take it. The normal ash would never be something he is not, but this ash wanted to for him. It was not right.
"NO, ok, just no..." Serena said as she turned to leave. This wasn't right? She couldn't take it. "But Serena, I love you..." at those words she ran, slamming the door behind her. Ash said those exact words before flying away into the darkness, but now THIS ash gives them no meaning. Serena ran into the snowy outside area. The freezing ground pounded below her bare feet, but she continued to run.
Ash, only just coming to grips with what happened, turned to run after her. She had just woken up, and was only wearing short shorts and a t-shirt. She would freeze out there! And worst of all he felt it was his fault.
