     Serena walked down the street and to the side, going into a building. At first glance it looked like an old shack, but on closer inspection it was a little business. Not a store, no, transportation. An airport. Or rather, a large field with planes. "Ahh" a man said at a front desk "Serena, right? You are early"
"Yep" Serena nodded "if we can go now, that would be great" she grinned weakly. "Of course" he said, grabbing keys and leading her to the back. He pointed to a small two person plane. "This is her" he said with a grin. 'Wait, I'm taking this across an ocean' Serena thought, but then she realized, this was much cheaper, and the only flight available until many towns over. The man took out a step ladder, setting it beside the plane and gestured for her to get in. As she got in, she realized it was much nicer in the inside. He slid glass doors over her area and then went off to do something.
Serena set down her bag between her legs, and relaxed. The plane began to rumble as a small tug pulled it onto the runway. Then, the tug was detached as the man got inside of the plane. "Rrrrrrr" the plane started up. Then it began to move forward, picking up speed. Woosh! They took off into the morning sky.
Serena gasped at the scene below. Trees, trees everywhere surrounding her small town. But now they took off. They were soon over the ocean, flying straight as Serena sat back and relaxed. As she laid back, she thought about what had led up to this.

Serena sat at the table, talking with her mom, putting on her best fake smile. "Hey Serena" her mom said "what's wrong". Serena was supposed by this. "Umm... Nothing" she replied.
"So I expect nothing is going on, even with you being found in a military base in kanto after a large explosion" her mom sighed. Serena felt guilty. "But it's ok" her mom said "you are a young trainer, you need to get out. Soooo... I have enrolled you in a school/camp in kanto" now Serena was really surprised "whatever is bothering you, it sure won't help you just sitting around"
"Oh... Cool" Serena said not really knowing what else to say. Inside her head, she just shrugged. This doesn't mean anything, it's just a little thing. But one hopeful voice quietly spoke in the back of her head 'you can start a new, make friends'.
"Yea, and..." Her mom continued "calem is going too" 'fuuuukkkk!' Was her initial reaction inside her head. She couldn't handle this, she was trying to forget. But then the more she thought about it, the more she realized. He was so nice, so kind, just like ash...
