Stan's pov
So after Dipper and Mabel left, I stayed around a little while longer. I wasn't sure why I just thought I should. Now I'm glad I did.
Nothing to special was happening, other than the town being monsters. A few little kids saw me and started crying so nothing new. I walked over to the grocery store because if all Dipper will eat is vegetables, then we're gonna need more. Same with fish.
Townsfolk everywhere were getting used to and testing their new abilities. Some winged person on top of the arcade yelled out to the world.
"Watch! I'm gonna be the first person to fly!" He spread his bat wings that were also his arms and jumped. The small crowd that had gathered caught him just as he was about to hit the asphalt. He cheered with his arm-wing things in the air. I cringed but still thought, could I fly?
I outstretched my wing and pulled it around toward me. They steamed big enough to fly. I shook my head, just a stupid idea, I tried to convince myself. I released my wing and it snapped back in place. Somewhere back in my mind said don't deny it you're gonna have to eventually.
I saw a few of Wendy's friends. One of them looked like a tree. One a satyr, another a bizarre panther looking thing. I didn't say anything to them. The satyr gave me a few anxious looks as I walked past.
Not many stores were open, but, the grocery store was. The automatic doors swing open to reveal the smell of vegetables and cleaner. One person was working there. She had dark neon yellow green eyes and silvery black hair parted on the side. She had her store hat on low to hide some part of her aperance presumably. She was covered in silver gray fur and had two lion tails. She gave me a sharp toothed smile. I nodded but just kept going down the produce aisle.
"Can I help you with anything today, sir?"
"No, I'm good."
"Alright, let me know if you need help."
I started loading carrots and bagged lettuce into the cart. I started to inspect the tangerines and slipped two in my inner suit pocket. I put four more in the cart. As I walked around the store I picked up a few things here and there, fish sticks, celery, apples, frozen shrimp, steak.
Steak? I never got that, it was expensive. None of the kids would eat it. Maybe Mabel or Ford would. So then why did I pick it up. Then I realized, I wanted it. Raw. I steeped back from the shelf of meat to look at all of the options. There were a lot. I started throwing them in the cart one after another. I didn't even bag them up.
After throwing a few more things into the cart I went to the cheek out line.
"Find everything alright today, sir?" Asked the lady working there.
"Yep."
"That'll be $53.94," she smiled.
I put a fifty and a ten on counter and she gave me back the change.
"Have a good day, sir" she said as I walked to the exit.
I walked outside grocery bags in hand only to have them abruptly knocked out of my hands.
"The Northwests!" Someone yelled running down the street. Same guy who had just knocked away all the bags.
"Hey! What's the big idea here!" I yelled grabbing him by his shoulder and turned him around to face me. His green eye was filled with terror. He now only had one eye and his body looked like an umbrella. a long young hung out of his moth
