Dipper's pov

Mabel, Wendy, and I were in front of the vending machine as I punched in the code. The door swung open making a grinding sound. I stiffened and looked at the stairs that led into the darkness below. I hated going down and up stairs. It was extremely difficult in those first few days to navigate stairs, they are just simply just not built for people with for legs. But then again, nothing is.

I walked/fell down the stairs and hit my head on the metal siding at the end of them. Fun. Anyway, we all crammed into the elevator to go down to Ford's office where the portal used to be. Fitting all of us into the elevator was a challenge. Mabel couldn't stand up, the elevator was small, Wendy couldn't stop wagging her tail, and I took up a lot of room because deer are not the smallest of animals plus and I still took up the space of a person also.

"Great uncle Ford! We need to talk to you! It's an emergency!" I yelled into the void of black in front of us.

"Like a really big one!" Mabel yelled louder.

"Hang on I'm coming. Wait right there," he yelled back and turned on a dim light.

He walked into the room where we were standing and gasped, turning if a brighter light.

"What happened to you! Did Bill do this!" He yelled rushing or to us getting a better look. He picked up one of my legs and examined it as he continued to talk while I tried to maintain balance, "if Bill did this then I'm gonna kill him! Turning people into monsters, half monsters, whatever you are is low, even for him! What does he think he's going to accomplish in doing this?"

"Great uncle Ford, Bill didn't do this," I said, "and, I uh I kinda need my leg back."

"Sorry, Dipper, it's just I typically don't get to talk to cervitaur a lot, much less be related to one! Same with mermaids. And I don't know any werewolves in the first place," he said releasing my leg and instead decided to pet my ears which I wasn't too fond of. It was awkward to say the least, not to mention my ears twitching every time he touched them.

"A what-a-taur?" I asked having never coming across the term before.

"A cervitaur, it the correct name for what you are. Hard to come by in any mythology book, even harder to find in real life, but now I have one right in front of me!  Ha! What did you think you would be called? A deerataur or something like that?" He laughed and turned to Wendy and Mabel still petting my ear, "and I would hope that you know what you two are, or anyone for that matter." To be honest, I thought I would be called a deerataur at first for lack of better word.

"Oh definitely, don't worry, I watched The Little Mermaid like a thousand times growing up, I know what I am," Mabel said confidently.

"I can vouch, I had to watch it with her. Every single time," I said raising my hand.

"Uhh ok then I don't know what that is so I'm gonna assume it's a movie from when I was between dimensions," Ford said confused.

"Yeah, and I'm not stupid, I know what a werewolf is, so yeah," Wendy said.

"Figured you weren't. So, you said it wasn't Bill, so that did happen to you?" Ford asked pulling out a notebook from his desk, and a pen from his jacket pocket. He clicked his pen eagerly waiting for an explanation to our new forms still petting my ear with the other. I could tell Mabel thought it was hysterical, but I obviously did not.
