Horrid Human Dreams

Before we start, I may not have been very clear about something. The curse when mixed with water only takes effect if you eat or drink it. Touching inverse grass curses you as well as eating it, but I don't particularly think that someone would. I hope.  Anyways, Dipper's pov

At the shack I found all the lights off and everyone already asleep. I hadn't seen Soos all day, or even Wendy. No one was anywhere. To be honest, the town looked like a ghost town. Tomorrow I decided that I would go into town to see if I could get other people out of their homes.

I slowly opened to  door and was relieved at the rush of cool air coming from the air conditioner. It was a big improvement from the hot summer breeze that ruffled my fur up. I quickly peaked in the bathroom to find Mabel fast asleep with a blanket over her and her pillow on the side of the tub under her head. I closed the door with a click and headed into my room.

Picking up my book out of my vest, I sat down on and folded in my legs. My book was not the journal, it was just a book I had gotten a little while ago at the library before the whole fiasco started. I lay on my side reading as I messed with antlers and joints. I hadn't really gotten a good look at my legs that much yet. Sure they were just ordinary deer legs, but they were attached to me, a human upper half. I folded in one of my front legs more so than the rest, and began to examine it. My hooves were made out of something that feel like a hard finger nail. They were black and caked with the build up of a few days of mud. They were cloven  and had indents on the bottom to allow for more traction when running or trotting in my case. There was the main part, but there was also two back parts that dug into the ground as well. There was a strip of cream colored fur where my hooves met up with the rest of my leg. I began to pet my leg to feel the texture of my fur. It felt smooth and soft, but because parts of it were caked with mud, sap, dirt, potentially sparkles from the floor, and other things, it was a bit course. I started to bend my joint that made my hoof move, kinda like an ankle. I moved to my back legs next. My back legs bent outwards from the rest of my body and bent twice as opposed by human legs only bending once. Aside from that they were almost exactly the same as my front ones. There were still the same white spots that had always been there. Some formed a Big Dipper on my midsection. The rest were really random at first glanced, but the more I looked, the more constellations I found. I only found a few like Orion, Virgo, Leo, the Northern Cross, and others. But, most were just completely random. The only dots that were connected were, you guessed it, the Big Dipper.

I eventually fell asleep and had a horrible dream. I was running through the Gravity Falls forest, the wind blowing through my fur and hair pleasantly. It felt good, but something still felt off and I wasn't sure what exactly. Maybe it was the way that the colors were slightly duller that usual despite the blazing sun above me. I stopped by a bush and picked off a yellow golden rose put of an otherwise bare bush. Upon further investigation, I found and eye on one of the petals. I blinked once at me. I quickly dropped it and it melted into the ground, forming words that burnt blue for a second. They said, "This form, is growing to be your new norm. Hope you've enjoyed your summer fun, now watch out for that gun." I read them out loud to my self. As soon as I finished reading it, a click sounded behind me. My ears shot up and I whirled around in time to see the barrel of a gun pointed at me right between the eyes. At shot rang through my ears as I shot up in my bed cover in sweat and breathing heavily.

"Oh thank god it was just a dream." I sighed to my self.  I looked out the window to see that the sun was just now coming up. I assumed that I must have had one of those dreams where seams really short, but in reality, it's hours. I was coated in a thick layer of cold sweat, heavy breathing, heart beating in my ears, the whole nine yards of nightmare reactions. I shuddered and tried to dismiss the dream as I got up and picked out a clean(ish) shirt and headed to the bathroom. I heard Mabel moving in the water and her singing quietly under her breath. I knocked on the door and opened it.
