Clothed in petals of every hue
Flared roses, frilly carnations
Sprinkled with stardust and dewThey danced and celebrated
To the songs of chirp and tweet
And feasted on ant-plunder,
Honey and all things sweetIgnoring every hindrance
The party lasted long, for hours
No force could ever stop them
Not even the stormy showersBut with the moon veiled in clouds
And the howling of the hound
Having forgotten their rationale,
they broke it off without a sound
