It was the day before Farewell, My Love left for tour with Get Scared, New Years Day, and Asking Alexandria and all of the bands decided to go out for a pre-tour get-to-know-you dinner.
They go to a local pizzeria called Pizza My Heart.
"Oooohhhhh, I love pizza!!!!" London shouted so loud that probably everyone in the whole USA could hear.
"Could you tone it down a notch please, London?" Robby asked as he removed his hands from his ears because of the youngest members' outburst.
"Sorr-" London started to say as they enter the establishment.
He sees a gorgeous girl who looks almost like Taylor Swift, maybe 5' 5" with pastel purple hair with kind of dark purple tips.
"Welcome to Pizza My Heart, my name is Laila. Party of.... 14??" She asks.
The bands nod.
"Please follow me." She says and we follow her.
They see a couple of busboys place three tables together.
All of the bands take their seats.
"So, can I start you off with any drinks?" Laila asks.
All 4 bands say what they wanted and Laila also took their pizza order.
"So, Ben how has filming a movie been?" Ash Costello from NYD asks.
"Fucking unbelievable!!! The cast is amazing, the crew is awesome, and I can't wait for it to come out!!" Ben from Asking Alexandria replies with a grin on his face.
Moments later, the pizza's arrive and everyone starts eating.
"I'm crazy, Baby
Please medicate me 'til
I lose my head"
London's phone goes off and he sees the name Dana as the caller ID.
"Sorry, guys. Have to take this." He says excusing himself from the table.
"Hello?" He replies as he walks outdoors.
"Babe, I can't do this anymore." Dana says, sorrow in her voice.
"Dana, please don't do this!"
"I'm sorry, London."
"Why?"
"I. Just. Can't." She says and the line goes dead.
Tears stream down London's face as he sits on the curb of the sidewalk.
Moments later, he hears a familiar sounding voice ask, "Are you ok?"
He looks up and sees the waitress from earlier, Laila.
She sits down beside him.
"No. My girlfriend just dumped me." He replies.
"She give a reason?"
"No. Why did I pick someone who treats me like I'm nothing?"
"We accept the love we think we deserve."
"Don't you have a boyfriend?"
"No. Been single for a year."
"What happened?"
"Same as you. I ended things. He was mentally and emotionally abusive."
"Why are you out here anyway?" London asks.
"My shift ended after I took your guys' order. But, I noticed you checking me out when you got here so I waited for my moment. I know we just met and all, but I find you attractive."
Next thing you know, London and Laila start kissing.
About a minute later, they are interrupted by someone clearing their throat.
London and Laila look up to see the bands standing there gasping in shock.
"Dude, what happened to Dana?" Charlee asks.
"She just dumped me over the phone." London replies.
"Thank goodness. Never really liked her anyways." Chad sighed a sigh of relief.
"So, are you two, like, a thing now?" Robby asks.
London and Laila look at each other.
"Well?" Laila asks.
"I guess we are." London gives her a hug and gets up to leave.
Seconds later, he remembers about tour, turns and runs to his new girl, and says, "I. Forgot. About.," he catches his breath, "Tour. I was wondering if you wanted to come with us?"
"I'd love to! When do we leave?"
"That's the thing, it starts tomorrow."
"Wow. OK. Ummm...I'll be right back." Laila says as she walks back into the restaurant.
Ten minutes later, she comes back smiling.
"So?" London asks.
"I got someone to cover my shifts 'til I get back. I'll go home and pack. Text me in the morning about an hour before you come, so I can get ready."
They exchanged numbers and already have nicknames.
Laila (in London's phone): Monkey ✨👑😍🙊✨
London (in Laila's phone): My brand new obsession 🌜🙇💏🎸🍕🌛
