This is the first chapter for my first story. Hope you like it. :)

*This story is under editing and sorry in advance for the cringe worthy events*

Finally, the school year was coming to an end. I have really enjoyed the last few weeks like I usually do, counting down the days on my calendar until summer.

I look across my room and see that I'm up earlier than usual. The clock on my wall read 5:31am, meaning I would still have an hour or two before heading to school for the last day.

Luckily, my best friend and I board the bus last meaning it just gave us more time to sleep in on weekdays.

Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep again (typical of me). Which was woken up by the obnoxious beeping from my alarm clock, telling me that it was time to wake up.

My room had barely any furniture; mainly because my bed and wardrobe took up most of the space. I could smell Mum making breakfast from me bed and I decided that I would start the last day of school with a fresh start... Being the tired and clumsy person I was, I walked out without thinking about anything, banging my head on the frame of my bedroom door.

"Good Morning Eliza," Mum called from the kitchen, noticing the sound that my skull made when it collided with the doorframe.

"Morning," I reply yawning.

"Isn't today the last day?"

"Yup, and I am so excited! What are we doing for the holidays?"

"Um... uh, I don't know... sorry," Mum stuttered a little bit. I knew something was going on. We usually did many family-like things during the holiday, such as travelling overseas, or even doing simple things like the Zoo, or amusement parks.

It was unusual that Mum didn't have anything planned; and in that moment I felt uncomfortable. The looks last night and this morning's atmosphere, filled with tension.

I ate my breakfast in silence, not knowing what to say. Silence wasn't usually something that was in this household, even if there was only three of us; Mum, Dad and me.

Once I'm finished with my food, I get changed into my school uniform and take the elevator to the first floor and wait for the school bus. My best friend Ella and her twin brother James is already at the stop, talking about something I didn't really care or needed to know.

Ella and James lived on the floor below me and ever since kindergarden, we had become friends. Our parents met on the first day, like we did and finding out that we lived close was even a bonus.

"Morning guys," I call.

"Hey El! Morning," Ella squealed. "Guess what?"

"School's almost over!" I exclaimed.

"I know! I can't believe it." James cheered.

After about another couple of minutes of waiting for the bus it finally arrived. We hopped on the bus and Ella and I found a two-seater.

Once we arrived at school, we walked up three sets of staircases until finally reaching the top level. I enter the classroom and take a seat next to James. Unfortunately, Ella wasn't placed in the same class as James and I, but we still managed to be best friends.

James was whispering something to me but I couldn't quite catch it. Once he gave up, I just shrugged it off just as the teacher walked in.

"Good Morning class, please take your books out."

A loud groan escaped from the class as the teacher rolled her eyes. She wasn't the type of teacher to let us go easy, even on the very last day. She wasn't the ideal teacher, but I survived.

Lessons dragged on slowly, until finally the bell rang signaling the end of the day. There was literally a "WOO" at the end of school, like something you'd hear in a movie as everyone exited the classrooms.

Once class was over, Ella and I found our way to the bus area with James lagging behind us with a few of his friends. She was excited for the holidays, and so was I. The suspicion that my parents were hiding something just simply slipped away, and I didn't really care much anymore.

The bus ride took about twenty minutes, but I never noticed. At our stop, I said goodbye to the twins and headed into my house.

As soon as I walked through that wooden door, things just became even more messed up. What happened last night and this morning came back to me as I just stood there stiff and worried.

There are boxes everywhere all labelled 'Eliza'.

I was literally clueless.

"Mum, why are the movers here?" I asked, but she was no where to be seen.

My room was completely empty.
