Artemis woke up from a cold sweat and ran to the bathroom. She emptied what was left of last nights dinner into the toilet. Wally raced in and held her hair up while rubbing small circles on her back.
"Are you sick Artemis?" Wally asked after she was done throwing up. Artemis shook her head.
"It was probably something I ate," Artemis answered leaning back against Wally for support.
"I ate the same thing you did," Wally said. Artemis tried to hold back a grimace.
"You have a super fast metabolism, remember?"
"Oh yeah, I forgot. I tell you what. You go rest and I'll make breakfast," Wally said.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, go back to bed," Wally said and helped her walk back to bed.
"Thanks babe, you're the best," Artemis said getting back under the covers.
"I know, that's why you married me," Wally said. Artemis laughed softly and Wally walked out of the room. As soon as he was gone she had lifted up her shirt, and gently stroked her stomach. There, right below her belly button, was a small bump.
"You're making it hard to hide you from daddy. I know you want me to tell him, but we just got married seven months ago and now I'm 4 months pregnant," Artemis said. Artemis didn't think she would get pregnant so soon after marriage. Of course, Wally is a super hero. But now she's trying to hid this from Wally and it's not easy. She should really tell him.
Artemis got up and went to the full length mirror lifting her shirt again. She was showing just a little bit, which was regular for your first child. Wally raced back in. Artemis jumped slightly and pulled down her shirt. He wrapped his arms around her. "Wally, I'm four months pregnant," Artemis said and Wally promptly fainted. Well, that was one way to tell him......
