Ezra's P.O.V

I was reading a book in my room when mom came in. "Hi mom, did you need something?" I asked. "I wanted to put some new gaze on your arms," she said, pointing to my arms. I got nervous and tried to get out of it. "Oh, that's ok, I can do it myself," I said confidently. Mom raised an eyebrow, "what are you hiding?". "Nothing, I just wanted to see if I could do it," I slyly replied. Mom walked over and I hide my arms behind my back. "Can you please let me check your arm out?" She asked. "Seriously mom, I can do it," I said. "I wasn't giving you a choice," she said. We sat on my bed.

I looked down and gave her my left arm. Mom started to unravel the bandages and I kept wincing in pain. When my whole arm was revealed, mom gasped in horror at it. "Ezra! What happened?!" She said worried about my well being. I bit my lip in nervousness and kept looking at the floor in shame. What was I supposed to tell her?! Mom, that Mr. Damon teacher at school made me stand in front of the whole class and answer questions that I didn't know. If I got it wrong or was to slow to answer, he would whip my arms! That would not end well and what if Mr. Damon was like the others, Paul and Kallus. I don't want to move again and feel even more pain then I already have. Even though sometimes I deserved it.

"Ezra?" A gentle voice broke me out of my thoughts. I looked up and realized that tears were streaming down my face and my breathing was not steady. "Take deep breaths, honey," mom soothed, "what's wrong and who did this?". I was going to tell her but all that came out was a little whimper. A warm hand was placed on the side of my head and I couldn't help leaning into it. "Please tell me," she begged. I took a deep breath, "Mr. Damon". I looked at mom and saw a hint of anger that went into motherly love.

"Anyone home?" Dad said entering the room. He saw us sitting on the bed and came over. He instantly saw my arm and was worried. "What happened?" Dad asked. "The history teacher, Mr. Damon, happened," mom answered. Dad sat on the bed with us and ran circles around my back. "I'll call Ahaoka and tell her what happened," dad said and went out the door. "Mom," I said. "Yes, sweetie," she said with open ears. "It hurts," I admitted. "Your arms," mom said the obvious and I nodded. "Ok," she said, "I'll be right back". I saw her disappear out the door.

Kanan's P.O.V

I hung up and ended the call with the head chief. She said that she would look into it more about Damon. Not a minute later, Hera came down the stairs and over to me. "Ezra said his arms hurt. Do you think we should take him to the hospital?" She asked. I was about to reply when a scream cut me off.

We both ran up the stairs and barged into Ezra's room. We saw him grunting in pain. His arm was bleeding and was getting effected with a purplish color showing on his skin. "Hera, go get the Ghost ready. I'll get Ezra," I ordered. She didn't have to be told twice and ran for the vehicle. I went over to my son and gently said, "come on Ezra. We're going to the hospital". He looked at me with fear in his eyes and I knew why. He was afraid of hospitals. "It's ok. I'll be with you," I said.

He got up and we quickly made our way to the Ghost. I sat in the back with Ezra and used the emergency aid kit's gaze. I wrapped it around his arm and then made a call to the hospital, telling them that we were coming.

We made it to the hospital and went in as fast as we could. A nurse came over with doctors and a gurney for Ezra. I could tell Ezra was getting dizzy from blood loss and he laid on the gurney. The nurse told us to wait while they looked at his arm. Waiting was the last thing I wanted to do but it was worth it if my boy was going to be ok.

*two hours later*

A nurse finally came over and was going to tell us what was Ezra's condition. "Mr. And Mrs. Jarrus, I presume?" The nurse asked. "Yes," I said, "how is he?". The nurse seemed to be getting a little nervous and played with her pen. That got my worried sick and felt my stomach churn. "His arms had a nasty infection and will have to keep an eye on it," she said. Wait, it? "What do you mean by 'it'? Don't you mean both?" I asked confused.

This waiting for her to spill the beans was ticking me off. I was about to yell until she let everything out. "His left arm had some kind of poison in it," she said. My eyes went wide and realized what she was going to say next.

"We are going to have to amputate his arm".
