Y'N's P.o.V.
So I guess my dad is Hades.
Not too bad. Not what I was expecting, but I guess I'm okay.
He sent the signal last night at dinner. The silhouette of Cerberus appeared above my head in a small ball of darkness.
"She's the daughter of one of the Big Three!" some guy, I think Travis Stoll, called out with a drumstick in his mouth. "I knew she had a death vibe around her!"
Percy just winked from across the table, like saying 'Welcome to the club' or whatever.
I guess the camp's alright. I get food and decent clothes. It's definitely better than living life on the streets as a pickpocketer. And the cabin I'm in has only one other person.
"I guess you're Y/N?" my half-brother asked. His name is Nick or something. Nick Di Angelo, I think.
"You guessed it," I replied, sprawling over the bunk."
Di Angelo smirked and laid out all the rules of Camp Half-Blood. The boring stuff, and the fun stuff. He also told me about the campers' lives, which is slightly stalkerish if you're asking me.
"You're a child of Hades," he declared before we went to go to sleep. "Hold that with honor."
"So?" I pressed. "He's just a god."
Di Angelo was clearly confused to why gods were so unimportant to me. "But he's Hades. He's one of the Big Three. How can you not care?"
I closed my eyes, the familiar feeling of sleeping on a good mattress spreading across my mind. Nostalgia was a clear feeling that night.
"Frankly, I don't care about anything but my own survival," I answered.
That was the end of that conversation.
And for the first time, I didn't have any nightmares.
