Save Me (One Direction Fan-fiction)

Chapter 8

Lily's POV

(A half hour before Harry comes up from the cafeteria)

Well looks like someone decided to call my mother. I would recognize the sound of her high heels anywhere. At least I think Alec came too.

"Ah, my stupid daughter, how good to see you." I wish I could smack the smirk off her face that I know is there.

"God mom! She's in a coma! Have a freaking heart for once!" I hear Alec's voice boom through the room; although it's comforting knowing my big brother is here to support me so my mom won't pull my lifeline. I feel his soft hands (unlike Harry's calloused ones) cover over my frail fingers. I cry to myself in the darkness that has enclosed me for the past day or so. All I want is to be wrapped in a blanket with him holding me; us having our usual battle on Mario Chart Wii (and of course I would beat him, I have since I was seven!). 

"Lil I love you so much," He coos in my ear. The familiar nickname he gave me when we were kids warms my heart and I feel a few of his expected tears fall onto my chest.

"God, please let me wake up, for Alec's sake." I pray in my head. I can't imagine how crushed he would be if I left him in this world, alone with my mother as his only living relative.

After hearing Harry come in and "bond" with my mother, along with comforting my brother (I mentally remind myself to thank him for that if I wake up) chills run up my body as an all too familiar voice enters the room.

"Lily. Oh my god I'm so sorry!" Charlie.

Why was he here- my mother. I knew she would do something like this! After all he did to me my mother pushed me to forgive him because he was "perfect": a jock, smart and especially because his family is pretty wealthy. Sometimes I think she loves him more than I did.

I flinch when I feel his lips come in contact with my left hand. Just as soon as he touches me I feel his body ripped away, THANK GOD. I can't bear having him be near me after knowing he touched her.

 What happens next is a blur because I try to block out the boys fighting, but I'm thankful when I hear my mother lead Charlie away probably to tell him some lie about me missing him. When will she stop!? 

I can't help but hear Alec mumble to Harry, and then I feel my bed dip down indicating Alec is taking a seat. Oh no, he must be telling Harry what Charlie did! Harry can't know! What will he think of my stupidity?
