Chapter 10

Harry's POV

Eventually Alec and Mrs. Brooks left leaving me alone with Lily. It's already five thirty and I still don't no what to tell Simon.

"Harry?" I hear Liam and the other boys enter the room.

"Hey," I say wearily.

"Wow, have you been here all day?" Zayn questions me. I nod in response not in the mood to talk.

"I thought she would wake up by now..." Nial comments in a soft voice obviously being affected as much as I am by this situation.

"You wanna know what makes this even worse?" I inform the boys. "Stupid Simon showed up, as I guessed, and now he is telling me to choose between leaving Lily here and not seeing her again or staying but informing the press she was nothing but a drunk I took pity on!" I spit. I see shock flash across all their faces. "I freaking hate Simon!" I roar gripping my hair in fists.

"Haz, that's so stupid! He can't do that! Can he??" Louis pipes up at first confident but then unsure.

"Technically he can't, but he is in charge of our public appearance and if he thinks this affects it in a bad way he kinda gets to do what he wants about it..." Liam informs us scratching his head in frustration.

"Well, we're here for you man so lets figure out a solution!" Zayn encourages us and pats me on the back.

For the next ten minutes we all sit here or walk around the room trying to find a loop hole in the situation. Once in a while one of us starts to say something but realizes it won't work and returns to our former thoughts. Finally after twenty minutes of brainstorming it hits me.

"Guys! I have an idea!" I practically scream once the thought hits me.

"Really?"

"What?!"

"Finally!"

I hear the boys voices chorus as they listen intently.

"Well the whole problem here is Simon is afraid of rumors that Lily is just another one night stand or I killed her, right?" They all nod but clearly are not understanding where I'm going with this.

"So I was thinking, what if we clear those rumors right away?! I can make a statement to the press saying Lily and I are dating and that her comma came from being hit in the head from a swinging door? I mean its mostly true and it will make me look more like a caring boyfriend rather than a jerk who a, killed a girl or b, just dumped her!" I wait staring hopefully at the other boys.

"That's a great idea!" Louis finally speaks up.

"But there is two problems, one what will Lily think when she wakes up with a boyfriend and two, how will Simon agree to this?" Liam states.

"Well addressing Lily, I'm sure she wouldn't mind dating THE Harry Styles, and I'm almost positive we can convince Simon because it's keeping my image clean, and in a way making it better!" I say, proud of my (hopefully) convincing answer.

"Alright I'm in, just don't get too cocky Hazza." Zayn says chuckling.

The other boys agree and all decide to stay for when Simon comes in an hour or so. I'm just praying we can convince him.
