"Where were you Chris!" Was the first thing that welcomed Chris Evans the moment he stepped on the set.
Where was I? I was out mending my broken heart. Chris thought to hisself bitterly.
"Out. But I'm here now." He answered groggily.
"Why are you like that? And is that alcohol I smell on you?" The assistant director said while grabbing his collar to smell him.
Immediately Chris pushed him away and fixed his collar.
"I'm not drunk. I just had a few shots ok!" Chris bellowed and the assistant director was stunned.
He had never seen Chris Evans like that. He looked like a mess. There was definitely something wrong about him.
How long has it been since someone held me this close? Scarlett questioned herself.
A week had passed after that horrible night and Scarlett was still thankful for Sebastian. Even though she felt safe in his arms, Scarlett could not help but feel a void inside her heart.
Chris, she was missing him so bad but he was not here. He was not there for her when she needed him.
"Scarlett are you alright?"
"Yes, yes. I'm sorry." Then she peeled herself away from Sebastian.
"No one will hurt you now. I promise." Sebastian said with all his heart and somehow Scarlett believed him.
"Scarlett! Sebastian! Get ready! We'll be taking in 5." The assistant director called out.
Ever since that night Scarlett and Sebastian had been closer to each other. Scarlett did not know why but whenever she was with Sebastian, she could feel the void in her heart being healed, being fixed.
It was like a cement was being poured into it, making it strong.
"Hey, don't worry now ok? I'll keep you safe." Sebastian said while accidentally brushing his lips into her forehead.
Scarlett did not mind though because it was something she needed and she was willing to accept it.
Maybe it was her time to finally feel something new.
Being lost in each other's presence, they did not notice Chris walking up on them.
"So you two are together now?"
As soon as they heard that grumpy voice Scarlett and Sebastian immediately pulled away from each other.
"No. No. No." Scarlett defended.
"No need to hide it Scarly it's so obvious. Anyways, I'm happy for you. Just keep it low because there are also some other people in this set." Chris said as if he was disgusted by the two people. And then he left. He was not prepared to witness their undying love for each other.
Scarlett was not blind and she could see that Chris was not happy with her.
Was it because of his and Elizabeth's fight?
He had thought so wrongly about them. He did not notice that he was hurting her.
This was not her Chris. Something was wrong about him.
Scarlett excused herself from Sebastian and followed Chris to the other door.
"Chris are you alright?" Scarlett asked from the other side of the door.
"Please let me in. I needed to talk to you."
Still he would not let her in.
"Let's talk later, please." Scarlett said finally then went to the set where their director was waiting for her.
