Peridot and I arrived at the temple around 11:30 am, then at least we would be early and Pearl wouldn't be mad at us for being late.
"Are you ready for this?" Pearl made her way onto the warp with the other gems, Peridot and I following them.
"Yeah we're ready," I took Peridot's hand and squeezed it. We warped off to Crystal Beach and began walking around when we reached it.
"It should show up any minute now. And once it does, Lapis and Peridot, you two go after it and try to corner it so you can fuse and take it down," Garnet looked around as we went along, her hand on her chin. Suddenly she stopped us and dropped her hands.
"It's here."

Suddenly out of the ground shot a giant snake like creature. On its forehead was its gem that we were after. It hissed at us before taking off down the beach.
"Let's go Peridot!" I said, grabbing her and flying into the air after it.
The gem was fast, slithering its way down the beach as we chased it. I really wasn't paying much attention, but whenever it turned, Peridot would tell me which way to go so that we could follow it.
"Dead ahead theres a giant wall of rock! We can corner it! Keep it on a straight path Lapis!" Peridot shouted, pointing straight to the wall of rock ahead of us.
She was right. That rock was high and if we kept it cornered we could surely finish it off with our fusion.
Sure enough we kept it on a straight path and it ran itself right to the wall of rock, turning towards us as we landed right behind it. It rose itself higher slightly, hissing and roaring at us as a means of intimidation. It didn't work. I was ready, we were ready. And that beast would have nothing against our fusion.
"Lapis," Peridot looked at me and I nodded.
"Let's do this."
We started our own dance, somehow easily settling in to each other's groove as we moved closer and closer together. And then it happened, our gems began to glow and we were engulfed in a white light.

(Just to let everyone know with their fusion I use third person. Because its not really Lapis so it can't be in first person.)

Out from the bright light, stepped a gem, about the same size as Opal. She had four arms. Her hair was short, grayish white, and her body was a beautiful teal color. On her head lie Peridot's gem, and under it was the visor covering her eyes, sheilding them from anything that might try to attack.
She looked down, grasping all of her hands into fists and smirking.
"So this is fusion. Its so...powerful," She put one of her fists up into the air and looked up, beginning to laugh, "this should've happened days ago." The sound of a loud hiss drew her attention back to the snake like gem and she turned her whole body towards it.
"Lets see if you can withstand the strength of Tanzanite!" She launched herself at the beast and grabbed it, throwing it against the rock wall. It let out  loud cry of pain and began to try and get away, but Tanzanite wasn't going to let it. She grabbed it by it's tail and began slamming it back and forth on the ground.
"If my calculations are correct you will poof in three...two...one" and just as she said one, the corrupted gem disappeared in a cloud of smoke, leaving only the gem behind. Tanzanite bubbled it and sent it off to home.
"That was great! We need to do this more often! We're so strong!" She jumped in the air and started laughing from joy.
"Come on Lapis you have to admit that was fun," she started walking towards the direction they had come from along the beach, but stopped when she never recieved a reponse.
"Lapis?"

Suddenly out of nowhere, two chains made of water grabbed a hold of Tanzanite's arms and started jerking her towards the ocean.
"Lapis! Stop! What are you doing?" Peridot's voice shook as she talked through Tanzanite, knowing Lapis was the only one who could be doing this.
"I'm done being everyone's prisoner!" came Lapis's voice, "now you're my prisoner! And I'm never letting you go!" Two water hands came out from the ocean and grabbed her legs, slamming her face first into the sand and slowly dragging her into the water.
Peridot had remembered what Lapis had told her what she had done to Jasper while they were fused as Malachite. She had chained Jasper to the bottom of the ocean with her as Malachite.
She thought she was Malachite again.
"Lapis stop! We're not Malachite!" Peridot began screaming, feeling Tanzanite's feet begin to enter the water, "I'm Peridot! Not Jasper! Lapis!"
Nothing was working. Lapis must've been too stuck in the past to realize what was actually going on. But Peridot had to keep fighting. She couldn't let Lapis drag them to the bottom of the ocean and hold them there.

"Grab her arms! Quick!" Garnet came out of the forest nearby and behind her ran Pearl and Amethyst's fusion Opal. Opal ran to Tanzanite and grabbed her arms, pulling as hard as possible to try and counter attack Lapis's ocean hands. However that didn't work. In fact now Opal was just being dragged with them.
Opal unfused and Pearl and Amethyst looked at Garnet.
"There's only one thing to do. Alexandrite," Garnet said, beginning to snap her fingers as a beat. Pearl and Amethyst followed the beat until they met Garnet in the middle.
Alexandrite came out of the light with a loud roar of its gaping mouth, grabbing tight to Tanzanite's hands and yanking her as hard as possible. Not even Lapis could counter that amount of power and the ocean hands and chains broke, freeing the fusion. Then Alexandrite picked up the fusion and slammed her on the ground, making the two unfuse.
"Lapis!" Peridot ran to her side and rolled her onto her back, "Lapis please wake up! I need to know you're okay!"
The girl shifted, but her eyes didn't open.
Alexandrite unfused and Garnet made her way over, lifting Lapis into her arms and nodding at Peridot. "It's best if we go home," she said, "it's obvious Lapis needs rest. And she went through something today that no gem should have to go through." She turned away from her and started walking towards the warp pad. Pearl, Amethyst, and Peridot followed her, Peridot still fussing over whether she was okay or not.
"She's going to be fine. Why are you so worried?" Pearl asked, looking down at her.
"Well we're kind of together so of course I'm worried about her!" Peridot blurted out, quickly covering her mouth right after. Every one of their faces lit up at her.
"Aww you two are together? That's great I'm happy for you guys!" Pearl smiled.
"Yeah. But first she was trying to kill me because she thought I was Jasper. But now she'll want to kill me for telling you guys about our relationship. When I was supposed to keep it a secret."

They warped back to the barn where Peridot and Lapis lived, laying Lapis down on a small bed of straw like they had done before so she could rest. And Peridot refused to leave her side.
"I probably did this to her, so I'm going to stay and make things right. She is the one...that I...love," she sighed and took her hand, moving close to her, "I want to be right here when she wakes up so I can comfort her and let her know that everything is okay."
The other gems nodded and left them alone. And when they left, Peridot moved even closer to Lapis. "I hope you wake up soon," she whispered.
It was hours until Lapis woke up and the minute she did, she ran out of the barn and left Peridot on the bed of straw in tears.
