Growing Alphas Prep School

Carrie’s POV

I now remembered why I was reluctant to go back to school. I knew that this would be a harsher level of my old school. I also knew that everyone at this school, except the teachers of course, knew about my little “problem”. Not a severe problem, just what most people at this school consider a problem. They had not forgotten about it either, and they had harassed me about it all day today.

I sat in my dorm room, tired and depressed. Knowing that I had only one class with Onyx, I really had no clue of what exactly had happened to her today. From what I had heard about her though, plenty of the people here at this school enjoyed her being there. People also said that she gave Mrs. Roxby quite a fight, and also made her look stupid at one or more time.

This was totally what I would expect from a girl like her. I thought that she would certainly give the teachers a run for their money, and I was right.

I got up, knowing that eventually I would have to go to one of the mall’s today, with all of the conceited bitches there, that will probably make my life miserable. More miserable, because I bet by the end of today Onyx will know of my problem, and find me disgusting.

I put on my pair of flip flops and walked out of my dorm room, with my head hanging slightly low. I knew that it was a sign of low self confidence, but I could have cared less.

I went out side, into the hot outdoors. The sun beat on me as I slowly walked to the empty bus port, with a driver waiting there for someone to get on. I walked inside the empty, silent bus, and told the driver to bring me to Mall D.\

While the bus drove me there, I then sat down, imagining what kind of perils awaited me.

Onyx’s POV

I was happy with my solitude, while looking for some good Nintendo DS games to play on the new Nintendo DS that I was getting at Game Stop. Yes, I know, I am an old-timer for liking the original DS, but they still are pretty awesome!

Giving up on seeing any action games being there, I then looked around to look for SOMETHING, if anything, that might entertain me at this place. I then grabbed the game Style Savvy. No, Massie Block’s amusement park was not getting to me, I just needed something mindless enough to keep my mind off of Carrie, and everyone else here.

Well, not everything here was THAT bad, at least we had P.E. There is also the thought of Carrie, which is not that bad either.

Yes, Carrie is not a bad thought. Carrie is a very good though actually. After second period today, my mind could not erase her from my mind. For one reason, she’s really pretty, and I’m bi, that makes things obvious. Another thing, is that people were bullying her pretty harshly when I saw her earlier, and I could not help but feel sorry for her. I was also going to ask her about it later.

I got up to the check out counter, seeing the people that I had hung out with earlier that day. The people that I had hung around today were Victoria and Helena. Victoria had light brown hair that went somewhat down her shoulder, and had blonde highlights. She was tan, and she had green eyes. Helena had jet black hair, had a natural tan (she was Spanish), and had brown eyes. They both saw me and smiled, and walked in to see me.

Victoria and Helena were really nice to me. They might be on the popular side, but they were nice. At my old school, I was also popular, so, I guess it was inevitable that I was talking to them.

Victoria and Helena then saw me and smiled, walking over to me. They walked next to me, who was behind someone that was taking forever to check out. I did not know why, did not care anyways.

“Hey there Onyx,” Victoria said happily. Victoria then looked at the person that was in line and frowned.

“Hello Victoria!” I responded happily, and Victoria smiled. The guy then left, and I came to rang up both the DS and the game.

“You know that guy, he’s Carson, a total game nerd.” Victoria explained, “He is pointless and annoying. Last year, at the other school, he got one of the lowest in our class.”

I nodded, as the cashier but the things in the bag.

“$175.00.” The cashier said dully as I swiped my credit card.

“You know, Carson was so obsessed with Mortal Kombat last year. It was so gross and stupid.” Victoria complained.

I rolled my eyes and sighed as I took my bag and left the store. I liked the whole Mortal Kombat series. It was one of those games that all of my friends played, especially when we were pissed at one of our teachers. Thinking of them, made me wish to be back there, but since I was to be here for a whole school year, I would just have to wait until the end to see them again.

Besides, I had their phone numbers.

“Onyx, I have to show you a place that I found. I know that you will just adore it!” Victoria cooed.

I smiled and nodded, making a mental note that my idea of being nice to everyone was starting to annoy me. A lot of the girls here were hardcore girly, and the guys here were cocky and annoying. This made me miss my friends even more, and at times my heart ached

Victoria led me across the  huge mall, to this boutique, called “Vickie”.  Inside there were things like skirts, blouses, and what not. Nothing at all that interested me at all. This was the kind of place that my mother and sister might drag me, and I was very much so silently protesting me being in there.

I sat at one of the walls, as they proceeded to the rest of the store, looking at things. Girly things like those were my enemies. They were my personal anti christ. Sadly, I had no real desire to make her mad. I have learned that the popular girls are not the kind of girls that you try to make mad, unless you don’t like the very thought of living.

Victoria looked at me, confused, and then walked over to me.

“Onyx, why aren’t you looking around?” Victoria asked from some ways from the store.

“I thought that you might show me some things that I might like.” I answered, and syhe sighed, with a small smile on her face.

“Alright, then I guess that I shall show you some things that I think that are cool.” Victoria sighed, waving her hand to tell me to come over there. I then walked over to her, to see that she was in an area that showed skirts. Ick! Victoria took out one that was turquoise and had ruffles on it.

“Yet, since this is so short, and you are roomed with Carrie, I tell you, never wear this near her.” Victoria warned, “bad things that you don’t want to happen, will happen to you.”

“What do you mean, bad things?” I asked, a little bit curious.

“It is simple, you never try to look atracttive near near, she is bisexual, she just might start thinking things about you.” Victoria explained, “Sarah Hultman learned that easily.”

I stood there, secretly stunned. Secretly, excited.
