As soon as I had put down the last suitcase I looked around what would be my room for the rest of the year. Wow it was...Large, and had a window, I ran up to it, and looked outside. From here you could see almost all the way to the ocean, I stood on my tippy toes to see if there was any difference, there wasn't. I turned around to look at the rest of the room, there were 3 beds, and 3 bedside tables, there was also a small wardrobe and a bathroom.
"Cool,eh?" Chelsea asked I had almost forgot that she was here.
"Yeah, I can see a bit of the ocean from here!" I jumped up a down as I said it.
"I'm in room 32, right above you" she said with indifference.
"When will my roommates arrive?"
"Probably tomorrow, well I think you're sharing with Minnie......And I don't know who else" she said while taking a nail file out of the pocket in her skirt, and starting to file her nails.
"Well, I'm gonna go......umm, if you want to meet people you can go to the common room on the floor below, or most people go to the cafeteria, its kind of where the cool people hang out-" she bit her lip realizing that she had let the 'cool' people's hang out slip. I wouldn't go there anyway, I'm not a wannabe.
After I had emptied my suitcases and put EVERYTHING away, in one of the dressers(leaving the wardrobe for one of my roommates who might want to use it) I sat on my bed and went on my laptop, bored with not having anyone to socialize with. When A girl came bursting in......
Some short black haired, girl, with pale blue eyes walked in on the phone, wearing black tights, and a bright pink dress, which kind-of resembled a tutu.
"No, mum, I'm not canceling......no stuff him.........He's my forever mum, I love him......Stop yelling at me! Ro-may-yo, mum Ro-may-yo no ROMEO! No Bye mum, I'm not having this conversation again! I'm with Romeo and you have to accept it!" she hung up and looked at me.
"What?" She said while looking around the room and noticing that the wardrobe was still empty, she raised her eyebrows.
"Nothing, I'm Evie" I said getting up and going to shake her hand, she took it.
"Hi, I'm Monica, but people call me Minnie"
"How come?"
"I used to be a lot shorter, so people called me Minnie, and the name stuck, I guess. How come you didn't put your stuff in the wardrobe?" She asked smirking.
"I just thought....you know someone else might want it" I said shrugging
"Or you thought that you might be sharing with a massive bitch and you wouldn't want to piss her off, before school even started" Minnie said laughing.
"Well,yeah that too" I said laughing with her.
It turned out that me and Minnie had a lot in common, we talked for a while, then went down to the common room.
"Hey guys this is Evie, Evie this is January, Avery, Sage, Scarlet and Ninetta" Minnie said indicating towards the 5 girls in front of us. January I assume was the tall Blonde one, who looked like she straightened her hair too much. Avery was short, slightly chubby, and had long brown perfectly curled hair. Sage and Ninetta looked alike (even though I don't think that there related) Both blue eyed, and brown hair. And Scarlet had short almost spiky black hair(kinda gothic) and was really skinny.
"Hi" they said, and for the rest of the day I spent my time socializing with nearly everyone that Minnie knew which was a lot of people. Once though I thought I saw Chelsea with her red long curly hair, standing at the back of the room, giving me really bad looks, almost as if she was jealous. But why would she be jealous of me? What because I was making friends?
I had spoke to Chelsea briefly today, so why was she jealous? I thought I had seen her again somewhere else, I looked down and looked back up again, and she had been gone. I looked around the room but couldn't find her anywhere, I kept looking around for her but she was nowhere to be seen.
At about 6 we all had to go to the dinning hall for dinner. Like the rest of the school, It had high celings, and marble columns, I walked in to find at least 200 students sitting down, staring at me.......
