chap 12 recap

"Move" Minnie said, her face getting scarier by the second.

"No" I said standing my ground, and trying to make my face look as angry as hers.

"Now!" Minnie yelled as she walked over, and pushed all my books onto the floor.

"I said. Now!" Minnie said, screaming, when I didn't move. She was in my face with her mouth twitching, and her whole face was trembling. It seemed like everything stopped, everything was still, everything was quiet, except Minnie and me. It seemed like the wrong word could set her off.

I could faintly see Sage, looking uncomfortable near the doorway.

"Minnie, you can't control everyone around you" I said in a softer tone, trying to calm her down, because she looked as if she wanted to hit me.

Minnie's face was still trembling, she looked as if she were concentrating on something really hard.

"Why isn't it working!" Minnie shrieked, looking back at Sage. I had no idea what she was going on about what she was talking about, but I kept my face straight. When she turned back to face me, she looked as if she were going to cry.

"Why are you doing this to me! You just want to be popular!?!?!" Minnie screamed, in a state of desperation. I could tell that she knew that she was losing the argument.

"I don't care about that! I'm not even trying to be popular!?! And I'm going. Ok? Just......Don't get your knickers in a twist!" I didn't know why I had said 'don't get your knickers in a twist' I said in sort of a teasing way, but mostly because I didn't know what else to say.

I took my things and left, Minnie had looked hurt and angry, but then her features changed into a mean smirk.

"Fine, go" Minnie said, knowing that she had won. But she hasn't won anything. Yet. I'm going to fight her, even if it's the last thing I do....

Minnie's POV

"And did you see her dress!" Sage and me burst into laughter.

"And then her face, when she saw us laughing at her!" I said in between giggles.

We walked into my room, and stopped. Evie was sitting cross-legged on her bed, doing her homework.

"Move. We want to sit in here" I said narrowing my eyes at her, with my hands on my hips. Evie narrowed her eyes for a second, but then put on her 'oh I'm so innocent' expression.

"Sit" she said sweetly, gesturing for us to sit down.

"Well, we can't sit in here. With you here. So. Move" I said in calm, but angry tone. My face went hard, the way it went whenever I was angry, a look that made people run.

No one said anything for a moment, Evie looked calm, and had a secret smile on her lips, like she knew she was going to win. My face quivered for a moment, then I tried to regain my angry face, before she could see through it.

Ever since Evie came, she has just been trying to become miss popular. She was trying to take my place. First she become all lovey dovey with Maive, my sworn enemy. And I could totally tell it was only to get back at me. Then she stole Scarlet, whom ditched me twice on the holidays, once for her boyfriend, and another time because she said she was sick. Yeah right. Sickness had never stopped her before, once she went out on a date when she had really bad tonsillitis. Talk about we. I don't really care that she stole scarlet from me and since they became biffle's with miss oh I'm so cool-Evie, she even died her hair back to it's natural colour, chocolate brown. So Scarlet, is like, totally boring now.

"I was in here first!" Evie said as if she were surprised, I could tell she was totally faking though.

"Move!" I Said, getting so angry, my vision was starting to go red around the edges.

"No" Evie said, in a calm, unreasonable voice that I was starting to get annoyed of. Evie's face darkened, and I saw a side of her that I had never seen, the scheming, deceitful side of her. I don't think anybody has seen that side of Evie, but I will make sure that they do. Then they will hate her as much as I do.

"Now!" I yelled. I had lost my patience just as I had said it. I went over and pushed all of Evie's books off of her bed, and they went skidding across the floor.

"I said. Now!" I repeated, I realized I was screaming, and I sounded desperate. My face was just inches from hers and my face was was trembling. Any second and I'm going to crumble and breakdown. I barely remembered that Sage was still standing there, this was my fight.

Evie didn't move. She stared right into my eyes, and her expression softened, and she had a concerned look on her face.

"Minnie, you can't control everyone around you" She said calmly and quietly.

Say you will move. Say you will. Get up and leave. I tried to make her do it, I used my power to influence her thoughts. But she just kept staring.

"Why isn't it it working!" I was shrieking, and becoming hysterical. I turned to Sage, with pleading eyes. She slightly shrugged and had that look of 'then just leave' but it was mixed with concern, she could see I was about to breakdown.

"Why are you doing this to me! You just want to be popular!?!?!" my eyes were blurry now, and I couldn't see straight. I was shrieking, and I half expected someone on our floor to come in here and complain.

"I don't care about that! I'm not even trying to be popular!?And Im going. Ok? Just.........don't get your knickers in a twist!" She was teasing me, I could tell. She got up, and picked up her things. I had won, so I was happy......... Wasn't I? I think I was, I made myself look happy, I smirked and said

"Fine go" Evie's face changed to a look of determination when she saw me smirk.

When she left I fell to the floor, and burst into tears.
