Old friends

Chloe's POV

"Stop it!" I yell mid giggle as try to escape Peyton's clutches, he's way bigger and stronger than me so with his muscular arms around me I'm stuck trying to wriggle out of his grip as he tickles me to death

"Say it" he chuckles as I struggle

"Peyton!!" I whine as I elbow him but it has no affect as I hit his six pack which I swear to god is harder that my skull

"Say it and I'll let go" he tells me as I surrender

"Peyton is the coolest person ever and he's way cooler than Chloe" I say through gritted teeth, he lets go when I finish speaking

He chuckles again as I turn around and shove as hard as I can which barely moves him at all

"Weakling" he mocks as I groan

"Shut up" I hiss

"Come on you've gotta be home in a minute" he reminds me as I sigh

"It's literally right next door" I complain

"Yeah but you're slow as hell" he smirks and I roll my eyes

"I don't want to go back Pey, she was in one of her moods earlier" I say as I try not to think about this morning

"Look go grab some stuff and tell her you're staying here tonight" literally saving me from my life yet again

Peyton and I have been best friends since kindergarten, he's a year older than me so he's a senior, I can't wait to be out of school, I'm gonna move as far away from this place as I can, I hate it, my dad died when I was 7 and since then me and my mom just don't get on anymore, Peyton has helped me through everything, we're so close, I tell him everything

Everyone always asks if we're dating because of how we act together but we're just friends, we did date for a few months about 2 or 3 years ago but we didn't work as a couple, he'll always be my best friend though

"Will your parents be okay with it?" I ask him even through I know they never do mind, they're like a second family to me, actually more of a family than my real one

"They're out of town for the week" he tells me

"Tessa and the baby?" I ask

"Yep" he acknowledges

Tessa's his older sister, his parents are really cool but she is definitely their favourite even though she got pregnant at 18 from a one night, not that she knows which one, she's a sweet girl, really but she's not exactly right and she's kinda easy as Peyton would put it

"Okay, I'll be back in ten" I tell him as I wander over to the front door, I grab my phone off the counter as I go and then Peyton watches me to my door before closing it behind and I take a deep breath before heading in
