Gerard's p.o.v.
I wait in the small café, my head down, looking at my phone. I was reading over the messages from last night for the eleventh time. I haven't been able to get her face out of my mind since the moment I actually studied her gorgeous features.
Her long, purple hair framed her face perfectly and even though she wore makeup, you could tell she was still beautiful without it. I don't quite understand why girls want to cover their perfection with the artificial brand of beauty, but who am I to judge.
I eventually wander away from her in my thoughts and they drift to my past. I had everything that I could have ever wanted, I was the lead singer of a rock band where I told everything I wanted to say. I had fans that I would do absolutely anything for, but everything just went downhill from there. I had gotten death threats and the harassment started piling up in my conscious, and I couldn't handle anything anymore. I had kept to myself and it started showing when we performed. The anxiety always caught up to me and ruined the performance and with that, the word's meanings faded away into the back of my mind.
I left with no indication, only Mikey and the rest of my family knows where I am but small sightings always leak out into the public and then I move again. I've been here for a couple months and I haven't been really noticed yet, May knew of me though. I just hope that the trust that I feel in my heart and deep inside my soul for this girl is correct and she won't sell me out.
The same place in my core tells me that that's almost impossible. I don't quite know why but I just feel something about her, and I have no idea what this emotion is.
The scraping of the chair getting dragged across the floor gets me to perk up and I see the same gorgeous girl in front of me now, making me want to give a smile that reached my ears. She was wearing a plain black hoodie with white outlines, ripped skinny blue jeans, and a pierce the veil crop top. She also had some bracelets and the ones that were visible to my eyesight were My Chemical Romance, Imagine Dragons, Sleeping with Sirens, and Bring me the Horizon.
She had two coffee cups with one in each of her hands and she passes one over to me. She looks at me with a grin but there's something about the darkness that glooms in her eye that makes me think otherwise. The bruises circling them make the shade stand out that much more.
"Hey, what's up?" I ask as I pull off my sunglasses and place them in my pocket.
"Nothing much, you?" She asks and takes a sip from her mug.
"Same for me." I reply and then it's just a short silence, neither of us really knowing how to fill it. "So... Did you sleep well?" I ask in hopes of things getting on track.
Her eyes seem to darken even more before her reply "yeah, I slept fine." She said and gives off a smile. If I didn't know any better, I'd believe it. But I was the same, I knew exactly what detail made everything believable and this girl was very skilled at the same thing.
"May, is something wrong? You don't seem okay.." I say trailing off as I look into the depths of her eyes, hoping to find the answer I was searching for.
She notices my disbelief and she tries to show her teeth in her smile and adds a small laugh "Gee, I'm totally fine. You have no need to worry about me." Her eyes stayed the same throughout the whole sentence.
I look down at her hands, her fingers were tapping against the table in rhythmic patterns, the chipped black nail polish against them. "Ok.." I say in a low voice, knowing fully well that I wasn't going to get whatever was wrong out of her right now.
After a while of talking, things started lightening up and she got progressively more talkative but anyone could tell by the way she was zoning out in thought, something was wrong.
"Wanna go back to your place to watch a movie or something?" I asked, hoping that I could find out what was wrong if I was able to get her to a more private and secluded area.
A little glimpse of worry showed through her widened eyes and it disappeared as quickly as it came. I could tell all about her and all it took was a glimpse into her wide eyes and I could easily read her emotions.
"Yeah sure, that sounds fun." She says and we walk outside for a while.I want to know what's wrong and I want to know as soon as possible. This girl is leaving tracks in my heart and mind, her safety is the most important thing to me right now.
Sorry it took a while but these kinda take a while and I'm SUPER busy nowadays. I've been having some troubles so Im hoping to get more updates out so I can cope with the stress a little more easy. Anyways, I hope y'all enjoy the update, I love you all<3
