Death & Beyond - A Horror Story

Door - Six

We walk over to the sixth door and enter hesitantly. The room is dark, there is one lit up square. James and I start to get pushed towards it. "What the hell is happening!!" James yells. "I know as much as you" I tell him.

I look behind us and there is a dark figure. We get to the lit up square, since I am so enraged I turn around to try and slap the figure in the face but he is gone. I grunt and turn to James he is staring at a little dice at our feet.

I pick it up, and as soon as I pick it up the whole room lights up. My mouth drops and I figure out what it is. It's a massive game of snakes and ladders. The whole board lifts up so its 3D with the ladder going up and the snakes th-the snakes are real, where ever the snakes are there is a pool of kinda fresh and old blood, there are also some body parts.

I sit down and roll the dice it lands on four, suddenly The dark figure appears behind James and starts pushing him four squares ahead of me. I roll the dice again it lands on six, then the dice appears back in my hand.

The dark figure appears behind me and pushes me six squares, I just miss the snake but it's still trying to attack me but it's being held in place by chains. We keep going until I land on a snake, the dark figure tells me in my mind I can run but the snake will be unrestrained.

I start to run James runs too he climbs up a ladder to catch up to me we get to the top and the key is next to it. I unlock the door but the snakes fang goes right through James's leg I pull James into the hallway and he is screaming in agony.

I rip the bottom of my shirt off and wrap it tightly around his leg. "That feels a little bit better" he says with his face scrunched up. "I am so sorry this happened" I say with tears in my eyes. "It's ok, well I know it doesn't look like it but it's not your fault. If I treat well when I get back home it will heal I will just have a large scar" he says reassuring me. "Ok, let's wait here until it's stops bleeding a little bit more" I say making him feel a bit better.
