THIRD PERSON POV
"It's insane. There are so many corpses scattered around, and they were brutally killed." Joshua covered his nose against the stench of decomposing bodies.
They decided to split up to quickly find Hyra. Each masked leader had a hundred armed underlings with them.
"Sir, this is the last corpse. It seems we are close to the Demon's whereabouts."
They followed the trail of bodies until they reached the final one, recently killed. They believed the Demon had done it and was nearby.
Joshua smiled and looked ahead toward a remote area. "From her palace-like territory to this vast wilderness? Poor thing. Get ready; we're going to break into that place and get her."
They entered the remote area, but the thick fog and enormous trees, whose branches danced with the wind, made it difficult to see. It felt like entering a magical yet terrifying forest.
"AWOOOOOO!"
They panicked at the loud howl of an animal, looking around and becoming alert as someone approached.
"Stay alert," Joshua reminded his men, who appeared scared.
–
"Why the hell did he go there? He knows that no one has ever entered that place and come back alive," Ethan commented, watching Joshua and his companions on the screen. "Akuma Domain. It's the part of the underground that no one wants to claim or enter due to rumors of a curse."
"Move the camera forward. I want to see what's inside," Mr. Hwang ordered, and Ethan immediately obeyed.
They used a camera drone to monitor the Underground, allowing everyone worldwide to watch. Everyone could see each death unfold.
"Joshua is brave, thinking a hundred men are enough to take down the Demon," Kurt whispered, watching them panic at a soft rustling sound. "The reason why Demon wants to finish them off is clear. If these weaklings become leaders, more like the Demon will rise and conquer them."
"I'll bet it won't be long before they catch the Demon," Mr. Nerraw said.
Vladimir raised an eyebrow at Mr. Nerraw's statement. He was there at the President's request to observe the situation. He wanted to laugh, but the President's stern look stopped him.
"If we're going by numbers, Joshua's side should win. But have you heard how Demon slaughtered an entire clan just because Viper got a scratch on his face?" Vladimir said with a look of amazement.
"Are you saying Joshua's men have no chance against the Demon?" Mr. Nerraw asked, annoyed. He hated that Vladimir always disagreed with him.
"Well, they have a good chance if they don't underestimate her," Vladimir replied.
"Demon is exhausted. With the duration of her fight, her whole body must hurt—"
"But Demon doesn't feel any pain," Mr. Hwang interrupted Ethan. "She let me experiment on her in exchange for my allegiance. She's very strong. The amount of medicine I injected into her would have incapacitated anyone else. The first time I injected her, she nearly went crazy, but her body became immune. Repeated injections made her numb to pain."
