THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Zeus, we're running out of food and water supplies as well as our weapons," Zack said to Zeus. They hadn't been able to leave Demon's territory due to the numerous enemies watching outside. The strong wall was their only saving grace; without it, the enemy would have entered and captured them long ago. "Is there still no news from Demon?"

Zeus lowered the glass she was wiping and looked at Zack. "She's abandoned us, so don't get your hopes up," Zeus answered bitterly. He knew half of Demon's plan, and this abandonment was part of it. "The way she shows concern is... crazy," Zeus added with a bitter smile.

*Rustle*

Zeus and Zack exchanged wary glances at the sound. An underling appeared moments later, gasping for breath.

"A supply of food and clean water has arrived," he reported, still catching his breath. Zack and Zeus immediately stepped outside and saw the bag of supplies.

"We didn't see who brought it. It was just here this morning," the underling explained.

"That doesn't matter now. The important thing is that we have supplies," Zeus said, checking the contents of the bag. There were plenty of provisions.

"Shouldn't we check it properly first?" Zack suggested, a hint of caution in his voice.

"No need. He won't kill us like this," Zeus replied with a confident smile and ordered the underlings to bring the supplies inside.

---

The underlings quickly gathered around, eager for the much-needed supplies. Zack, however, remained cautious, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger. Zeus, noticing his unease, placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"Relax, Zack. If Demon wanted us dead, she'd have done it differently," Zeus said, attempting to ease his friend's worries.

Zack frowned, not entirely convinced. "I just don't trust this sudden generosity. What if it's a trap?"

Zeus sighed. "We've been through worse. Let's just be thankful we have something to eat and drink."

As the underlings distributed the supplies, Zack couldn't shake off his unease. "Zeus, I know you're trying to keep morale up, but we need to be on our guard. Demon’s methods are unpredictable."

Zeus nodded, understanding Zack's concern. "I know, Zack. But right now, we need to survive. We'll stay vigilant. Keep an eye on the supplies and make sure nothing's tampered with."

Zack reluctantly agreed, and the men began to consume their first real meal in days. Despite the tension, there was a moment of relief as they savored the food and water. The respite was short-lived, however, as a loud explosion rocked the walls of their sanctuary.

"Everyone, get ready! We might have incoming!" Zeus shouted, grabbing his weapon.

Zack cursed under his breath. "I knew it was too good to be true."

The underlings scrambled to their positions, the brief moment of peace shattered by the impending threat. Zeus and Zack stood side by side, prepared to defend their stronghold.

"Stay sharp, Zack. This isn’t over yet," Zeus said, his eyes scanning the perimeter for any signs of the enemy.

Zack nodded, his grip tightening on his weapon. "Let them come. We'll be ready."

The explosion had barely settled when the first wave of enemies breached the perimeter. Dust and debris filled the air as Zeus and Zack took their positions, ready to defend their stronghold.
